They held a gay pride Mass right out in the open. The quotes from the priest’s homily are pure scandal. How can our Church continue to allow its ordained priests make a mockery of her teachings and lead so many souls into confusion, scandal, despair, and grave sin? My heart aches. ncronline.org/news/stonewall…

Yes, except for the fact that submission and Love in marriage are 2 independent requirements in marriage. In this kingdom, one shouldn’t depend on the other. Logically speaking, you are right. Biblically-speaking, you are not correct — my wife shouldn’t object to submitting to me until I lead her right, & I shouldn’t wait for her to submit before I Love & Lead her right. Biblically-speaking, it isn’t trade-by-barter
Deborah Ocheido@d_ocheido

If men were taught more about leadership, we wouldn’t need to shout “submission” at women everyday. The average woman would gladly submit to a man that leads her right

@gideonodoma Since it's the English language, can 'perfecting holiness' mean not drifting away from holiness at all costs? If you don't drift away, does that mean you are holier than others?

Now that the dust has settled, let’s talk about some more positives from Ronaldo in the game last night. As simple as that second goal was, it was legitimately one of the craziest goals I have ever seen. All the angles showed that it was going outside or at best would hit the crossbar, but somehow the ball spun into the net because Ronaldo used the right weight and perfect spin. Little details like this make all the difference and explain why he’s scored the most goals in the history of football. Secondly, his general play and defensive duties during corners. Forget the media agenda, Ronaldo offers so much to the team and no reasonable coach will bench him. Thirdly, the Portuguese set piece coach deserves lots of plaudits. All the set piece routines were top notch. They genuinely stand a chance if they keep playing as a cohesive unit and not as individuals. Viva Ronaldo, the GOAT 🐐 #worldcup #fifa #ronaldo

Thank you @charlesaniagolu for bringing this up. I was beginning to question my sanity! I wrote about this just last week. The president resides on Mount Olympus and only graces us mere mortals with his hallowed presence at defection rallies. He answers to no one. And Atiku aides like @HAHayatu are already instructing their principal to follow suit. They live only for the perks of office.
Ochi@OchiJnr

As a Nigerian, I find it absurd that since 2022, Peter Obi has been the only major front-runner relentlessly grilled, constantly interviewed, and forced to engage the public at every turn. Meanwhile, Atiku and Tinubu seem to glide by without facing anything close to the same scrutiny. What exactly is going on here? Do they believe they are too important to be questioned, or are their supporters simply more comfortable shielding them from accountability and public scrutiny? Nobody hears from the president, who sits on high Mount Olympus and only graces Nigerians with carefully scripted appearances and distant press statements from Bayo Onanuga, as though leadership is a privilege to be admired from afar rather than a responsibility to be constantly examined. Atiku is no different, equally distant, equally insulated, and just as unwilling to submit himself to the kind of sustained, unscripted engagement that true leadership demands. My Prime Minister, Carney, faces the press almost daily and endures relentless grilling from the opposition in Parliament on virtually every issue. That is what accountability looks like in a functioning democracy. Tinubu, on the other hand, answers to no one. #NigeriaWillBeOK

There is a disturbing trend of young lawyers trying to be concise. A 2nd-year drafted an executive summary for a banking client using bullet points and plain English. She proudly stated that she reduced a 50-page compliance memo into a 2-page brief. I asked her if she thought the client was paying $950 an hour for brevity. She muttered something about respecting the CEO's time. I explained that clients don't pay us to solve their problems quickly. They pay us to make their problems look so incomprehensible that only we can solve them. I made her rewrite the summary using dense, impenetrable legalese. It took her 12 hours to bury the conclusion on page 42. The client called me the next morning to thank us for our incredibly thorough analysis. Clarity is a customer service concept. We are in the business of intellectual intimidation.

@Miso_k84 @stoneoreye You don’t go asking for sexual undertones and then reject sex. Many times, the man’s reaction is just to cool off and remove his mind from sex. But you’re a woman, you will never understand.

I always wonder why successful businessmen would want to leave their businesses and venture into politics. I remember around 2015 when Uche Ogah of Abia State, the CEO of Master Energy, the company behind Master Noodles, Master Oil, and all that wanted to contest for Governor of Abia State. He was already a very wealthy man. It was obvious he wasn’t going to win, but I found it hard to understand why him and people around him couldn’t see that. It was also during a period when the ruling party was always using the EFCC to intimidate and cripple opposition figures. I remember discussing it with my dad and asking him why nobody was advising Uche Ogah to leave politics alone and focus on his business. I told my dad that if he kept building his business, he could become the next Dangote. My dad then took out his phone, sent him a message communicating those concerns, and Uche Ogah replied, thanking him and all. He still went ahead to contest that election and the one after it. Since then, Master Energy has continued to struggle. Most of its filling stations across the country are now abandoned. Which brings me to Peter Obi. It is obvious he wasn’t a poor man before politics, and he has consistently said so himself. One thing I find intriguing is that after contesting for the presidency, he still continued his philanthropy almost immediately after the election, sustained it for three years, and is now heading straight into another election cycle. You have to appreciate the level of wealth someone must have to keep doing that over and over again. This goes without saying that if there were any atom of corruption tied to his money, he would not be walking around a free man today.

"In 1987, American Express introduced platinum card for 5000 people, here is mine, they later introduced the Black card (Centurion card) in 1999 for 1000 people on the planet, here is mine. I had a viable business and while I don't regret going into Politics, it made me poorer." - Peter Obi, NDC Presidential Candidate.
