Every TCG is going to have non-games. Non-games are the result of variance which is something TCG's need. Some people feel like Magic's non-games are worse because the variance comes from the mana system, so a MTG non-game is "you don't play you cards." In reality this is no more of a non-game than some Hearthstone card doing something random to kill you out of nowhere, but Magic takes more heat for it because it feels worse. It's basically the same concept as how in Commander you can Doom Blade your opponent's commander and it's fine, but if you counter it they get salty. The result is the same, but the Doom Blade gives you the illusion that you were actually making progress and doing something. It tricks you into thinking your decisions mattered, but really they didn't. Non-games in other TCG's do a better job of giving you this illusion, to tricking you into thinking that they aren't really non-games because you are taking game actions and doing things. But really they are the same as getting mana screwed.

The framers of the 14th Amendment were very clear about Birthright Citizenship: "This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens..." It doesn't get any clearer than this, folks. This isn't even up for debate, honestly.

Oh, you mean the part that says that the children of foreign diplomats, not regular people, are not united states citizens. "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" covers this, in the 14th amendment. The only people that aren't under the jurisdiction of the united states, while they are here, we foreign diplomats and their families.

An American citizen’s baby can’t become a Chinese citizen by being born on the soil of China. Can anyone explain why a Chinese citizen’s baby should be able to become an American citizen by being born on the soil here? It’s absolute insanity.

Founding Father🇺🇸👍
@aripari18 @MildlyPeppery @ClayTravis Read above. The US Constitution, We The People, recognizes our rights are endowed by our creator. Other countries rights are endowed by their governments. The US Constitution does not apply to Russians in Russia, or Europeans in Europe.

@MildlyPeppery @ClayTravis The 13th 14th 15th amendments to the US Constitution aka Reconstruction Amendments were made for a specific group. Former slaves. Anything else is moot Naturalization is aka a form of citizenship which is given by the government

China was just an example here folks. You could use ANY country and if a U.S. citizen gives birth in— Poland, Australia, Ethiopia, Peru, anywhere else in the world….that child is not a citizen of that country. Our Amendments to the Constitution were written for slaves. Not the entirety of the globe.

But the rights of the US Constitution apply to Americans. We believe the rights of Americans are endowed by their creator so we put it in our Constitution. If it isn’t in the Chinese constitution, then their rights aren’t endowed by their creator. Why do you presume the Chinese want their rights endowed by a creator when the CCP is officially atheist?

They are doing exactly what the constitution says they are allowed to supposed to do. Federal judges are part of the judicial branch. It's their job to block congress and the president when they try to pass laws or issue executive orders that are unconstitutional. The president is just a figurehead that enforces laws and takes care of diplomacy with foreign nations.
Sassafrass84@Sassafrass_84

We’ve got kings in this country, alright. Federal judges who believe they outrank and supersede the President of the United States. This is a judicial coup.

A private company can fire you for anything, except for being part of a protected class. Freedom of speech means the government can't tell you what you can or can't say, it doesn't mean that a private company can't fire you, or that a citizen can't tell you to shut the fuck up.
General Steez@generalsteez69

This is blatantly unconstitutional. A private employer cannot fire an employee for their words. It’s called freedom of speech. Please step in and take action here @AGPamBondi.
