We The People
The most famous words ever written.
These words start the Preamble to the world’s most important document: The US Constitution
The Constitution is the world’s oldest written national governing document. Many countries have rewritten their Constitution multiple times whilst this document has been in existence.
It is the envy of the world.
It established the governance for the Unites States of America, a governance structure unique in the history of man. A structure which recognizes a founding principle that no other nation had ever utilized: Rights of the government are granted by the People. Since these Rights are granted by the People, they can NEVER be taken away by the government.
What is foundational to the American experience, and unique to America, is that these Rights were granted to the People by God, that these Rights are “endowed by their creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
The writers of the American Constitution were purposeful to balance the Rights of the People and States with the Rights of the Federal government. During the framing of the document, consideration was given to ensuring the Federal governments Rights were limited to those expressly provided. Any Right not expressly enumerated in the Constitution remained a Right of the States.
The Constitution starts with the famous Preamble. Not merely an Executive Summary but a statement establishing the People are creating a government to benefit the People. It is the guiding principle, to form a “more perfect union.”
The Constitution, thru its 7 Articles, establishes the Legislative Branch, it creates the Executive Branch which acknowledges the position of President, it sets up the Judicial Branch and its lower court structure. The last 4 Articles address important issues like federalism, Constitutional amendments, the Supremacy Clause and the process for the ratification of changes. Importantly, the use of the 3, coequal Branches of Government established the unique principal of “Checks and Balances.” The Electoral College was created to ensure the new President wasn’t elected by a simply majority…a means to ensure larger states didn’t hold power over smaller states.
In March 1789, 9 states ratified the new Constitution, creating a Constitutional Republic, a system whereby the People elect their representatives to serve the People with powers which are expressly limited.
Missing from the Constitution, and a source of much debate and angst, is the document America calls the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights, famously listing the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution, was passed by Congress 6 months after the implementation of the Constitution. This document is so important and fundamental to the American experience that the Framers of the Constitution had to promise to pass this document after the implementation in order for the Constitution to become ratified.
The Framers of the Constitution took inspiration from great Philosophers. It considered the structure of previous great civilizations like that of the Romans and the Greeks. It incorporated the best ideals from other founding documents like the Magna Carta, Mayflower Compact and the Virginia Declaration of Rights, amongst many others, of course.
Then, the Framers structured a completely unique government and a document that encompassed the brilliance that is the United States of America.

I’ve never seen a stance that says “take back Texas” less than this one
Democrats@TheDemocrats
Fired up. Ready to go. It’s time to take back Texas.
English

I'm shocked—SHOCKED!—that the most subsidized generation in American history would like another subsidy.
Nancy Mace@NancyMace
Our seniors should not pay property taxes.
English

@RealWayneDupree SC will go to the next legislative session under Gov Norman and Alabama will go to SCOTUS.
English

🗳️ Two Trump-appointed judges and 12 SC Republicans blocked the GOP's own redistricting maps in one afternoon. Callais isn't cutting where the White House thought. Where does this go? #VRA #TruthOverSpin

English

@AlexBores I’m happy to support a bill that says NY gets no federal funds for illegals and call it the Anti-INSURRECTIONIST Act of USA.
English

@SomeOtherSara @teafortillerman @ScotsFyre Maybe they should be doing business with reputable freight forwarders instead of the cheapest guys who are hiring people who can’t speak English and pass federal requirements.
I won’t cry for them.
English

@Real_2A @teafortillerman @ScotsFyre Cool! Sure the companies in Florida awaiting the shipment they bought & paid for be delayed, impounded or cancelled. Winning for Florida businesses.
English

Florida is left with two remaining options to protect its citizens:
(1) invade and occupy California militarily; or
(2) stop recognizing California CDLs, and let California move to file a complaint against it at SCOTUS.
Door (2) looks good to me.
Shawn Fleetwood@ShawnFleetwood
SCOTUS denies Florida’s motion for leave to file a complaint against California and Washington for providing CDL’s to non-English speaking illegal aliens. Only Justices Thomas and Alito would have granted the motion.
English

This doesn’t go nearly far enough. Seniors shouldn’t pay any taxes at all. No income tax, no sales tax - nothing. And to thank them for the great fiscal situation of the USA today, college students should take on additional loans to fund cruise vacations for all seniors.
Nancy Mace@NancyMace
Our seniors should not pay property taxes.
English

@NancyMace Yeah, the boomers do enough. Leave the tax burden for young families.
English

@FrankenforIowa @CynicalPublius I’ve met a couple Admirals who were fit for service. Most are fit for sh*t. You aren’t even at that level.
English

@CynicalPublius Says the Bot which never did or ever will serve.
English

Perfumed Prince is big mad that the US Navy has decided to promote based on merit and not genitalia.
Admiral Mike Franken@FrankenforIowa
No women on the Navy flag selection list this year. Sixteen % of the service zeroed out by weak civilian leadership. This will take years to recover.
English

@Troy1894 @SterlingWest Yep. I got an accounting degree for that reason.
English

@SterlingWest @Real_2A When I was 17 I wanted to be a history major/teacher. Then I realized most history teachers are also the football coach.
Decided I should do something with some actual earning potential.
English

@SenatorAndyKim @ArtemisBSG Why can’t your state SHUT IT DOWN? Our Fed government is NOT FUNCTIONING. SOMEONE MUST STEP UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING. Republicans in CONGRESS WON’T ACT. States must.
English

I saw chaos inside and outside of the ICE detention center Delaney Hall today. Detainees protesting the lack of due process, the disgusting food and poor treatment while their families and advocates stood outside calling for help. Instead of engaging with me and others about the poor conditions, ICE sent in an armored vehicle and a line of armed agents that only poured gasoline on the fire. Civilians were tackled and restrained, and agents fired pepper balls and spray into the crowd. This is more of the same lawlessness we’ve seen elsewhere around the country.
Our country deserves accountability. Our country deserves the humane treatment of every person here. In fact, our Constitution demands this. What I witnessed and experienced today was shameful. Delaney Hall is a failure; it’s this administration’s failure. The only way to make this right for our communities is to shut it down and make sure the failures we’ve seen never happen again.

@WeTheBrandon Oh look! Another “author” whose books I can skip reading. Thanks for identifying yourself.

I’m so confused. Yesterday, the US apparently bombed an Iranian naval vessel. After we were all told repeatedly that Iran’s Navy was completely destroyed at the start of the war. And the US conducted the attack during a supposed ceasefire. So, essentially, we couldn’t even effectively destroy Iran’s piddly navy during hostilities and had to attack it during a ceasefire, meaning we look like the irresponsible ones now. Why couldn’t we sink Iran’s podunk navy again? I feel like Congress should be asking these questions right now.
English

@ginamilan_ @TheDemocrats @Briann53 Praying for them 🙏🙏🙏
If there were less dumb cunts like Gina in the country they'd still be alive 🙏🙏🙏
English

That doesn’t absolve them. They gave him access to the systems and had a duty to supervise him just like an employee.
If only using Contractors shielded companies from liability, they’d never hire an employee.
Imagine a hospital not being held responsible for medical malpractice because the doctor was a Contractor.
You need to find a better source for your taking points.
English

@Real_2A @MikeLevin Yes he was employed by them that is correct but his action were his own and he was punished for it.

Not getting enough attention: the one-page order from Todd Blanche to wipe out every audit of Donald Trump.
Many experts believe it’s illegal, and here’s why.
Federal law prohibits the President or his aides from directing or halting an IRS audit. Agents who carry out a politically motivated audit, or stop one at the direction of the White House, can face prison time. That is the statute on the books.
Now look at what just happened.
Todd Blanche, the Acting Attorney General and Donald Trump’s former personal criminal defense lawyer, signed a one-page order demanding the IRS drop every existing audit of Trump, his family, and their “affiliates.” One of those audits reportedly could have cost Trump more than $100 million.
The Treasury Department’s top lawyer resigned over it.
The acting top IRS lawyer had to recuse himself because he previously represented Trump in his tax cases.
There is no precedent for an Attorney General ordering an end to audits of a group of taxpayers. Many experts say the Attorney General has no authority to do this.
So we have a likely illegal order, signed by the President’s former lawyer, on behalf of the President, protecting the President. And the only people with jurisdiction to investigate it work for the President.
I will fight this with every tool I have.

@kat_maryb @AmericanwomanU1 And I hope he’ll forgive the things you ain’t forgot

@bbharden @wil_da_beast630 The RFK JR book about Fauci is long and in depth. While I have a lot of respect for the people of the NIH, Collins and Fauci really lorded over the place.
English

December 30, 2011 - Fauci wrote an Opinion piece in the Washington Post describing the virus they have in the lab that does not exist in nature. And they have purposefully placed gene segments to make the virus more contagious so they can test vaccines against contagiousness. Here it is:
washingtonpost.com/opinions/a-flu…
English

@localnews09 @wil_da_beast630 The Democrat Governors shutdown their states and Trump felt responsible to take care of the American people with handouts. Now he knows better.
English

@Real_2A @wil_da_beast630 Trump was the president durning Covid and had control of house and senate. How is it democrats fault? 😂😂
English

@bbharden @wil_da_beast630 It is to bad Fauci was involved…but it was also a once in a hundred year pandemic so I don’t blame him for doing what just about everyone said he should do.
It is also unfortunate that Congress kept spending at the $7T level during the Biden years and first year of Trump 47.
English

@Real_2A @wil_da_beast630 And I guess the Biden handout program? Too Bad Trump deferred to Fauci and the NIH
