Polis had said that remorse was a precondition for clemency. Peters has been famously defiant and unapologetic for leading a breach of Colorado’s voting systems. But Polis tells me Peters said she’s sorry her clemency application. 9news.com/article/news/l… 9news.com/article/news/l…

“Put a rat in an empty cage with heroin-laced water and it will drink itself to death. Put the same rat in ‘Rat Park’ — full of friends, toys, tunnels, and cheese — and it barely touches the drug.” Johann Hari shared this on TED Talks and it completely changed how I think about addiction. Professor Bruce Alexander ran the experiment in the 1970s and flipped the old “chemical hooks” story on its head. Isolated rats became addicts. Happy, connected rats in Rat Park almost never did. The same pattern showed up in humans during the Vietnam War: 20% of American troops were heavy heroin users, but when they came home to normal lives, 95% simply stopped — no rehab, no massive withdrawal. Hari’s conclusion: addiction isn’t primarily about the drug. It’s about the cage — isolation, trauma, lack of connection. Humans have a deep need to bond. When we can’t bond with people, we bond with something that gives relief: drugs, gambling, porn, whatever fills the void. What’s one “addiction” in your life (or someone you know) that might actually be a symptom of disconnection rather than just the substance itself?

Good luck to Trump and the GOP without Catholics, Muslims, anti-war voters, fiscal hawks, immigration hawks, prospective home-buyers, anybody who wanted the Epstein Files, anybody who watches Tucker, Alex Jones, Megyn Kelly, & Candace. But hey at least they’re popular in Israel.

Muslims living with Hindus = Problem. Muslims living with Buddhists = Problem. Muslims living with Christians = Problem. Muslims living with Jews = problem. Muslims living with Sikhs = Problem. Muslims living with Shintos = Problem. Muslims living with Atheists = Problem. Muslims living with Muslims = Big problem. Muslims are not happy in Gaza. They are not happy in Egypt. They are not happy in Libya. They are not happy in Algeria. They are not happy in Morocco. They are not happy in Tunisia. They are not happy in Iran. They are not happy in Iraq. They are not happy in Yemen. They are not happy in Afghanistan. They are not happy in Pakistan. They are not happy in Syria. They are not happy in Lebanon. They are not happy in Nigeria. They are not happy in Kenya. They are not happy in Sudan. Where are Muslims happy? They are happy in Australia. They are happy in England. They are happy in Belgium. They are happy in France. They are happy in Italy. They are happy in Germany. They are happy in Norway. They are happy in Sweden. They are happy in America & Canada. Why are they happy in these countries? Because they breed like wild animals & they get to suck on the taxpayer welfare tit. They are happy in almost every country that is not Islamic. And, Who do they blame? Not Islam. Not their leaders. Not themselves. They blame the countries they are happy in. And, if that’s not offensive enough, They want to change the countries they are happy in to be like the countries they come from where they were unhappy. Islam is a Cancer….

Yuri Bezmenov's Ghost
Yuri Bezmenov's Ghost@Ne_pas_couvrir·
Here’s Ben Stein in 1979 describing television as an engine of cultural demoralization. He argues that a small clique of producers and writers pushed a left-coded inversion of reality onto the public. They despised traditional power centers and hated figures like Buckley. They propagandized the nation into accepting a fake world where businessmen are villains, criminals are the good-guys, small towns are sinister, military officers are proto-fascists, and work barely exists.
Yuri Bezmenov's Ghost@Ne_pas_couvrir

In the 1970s Ben Stein interviewed major TV producers/writers to ask why their portrayal of US culture was so distorted. Businessmen were evil. Real life crime was always depicted inaccurately, favoring instead the Marxist narratives on race, class, and culture of the new left.

Rise up, O Lord! Do not let man win the fight against You. Let the nations come to You and be judged. Make them afraid, O Lord. Let the nations know they are only men. Psalm 9:19-20

Agreed. The biblical world view: humans are rotten and don't deserve anything good in life and must submit to hard work, toil and beg for God's grace to survive; which leads to grateful, honest and humble human beings. The great lie tells people they deserve and are entitled to all sorts of things. That lie leads to the anger, resentment, misery, agony, and torment currently sweeping the nation. Nothing is a human right. Grace is the free gift of God leading to a peaceful and selfless entitlement free life in Jesus.

In the socialist mind, which makes up a majority of voters in Colorado, the most compassionate thing you can do for someone is create a government program for them. See latest efforts to feed all school-aged kids in Colorado. This mindset is critical to understand because the most evil thing you can do is cut the program - not necessarily defraud the program. Fraud is tolerated because the overall "benefit" outweighs the evil of the fraud. You can never cancel the program or even cut it, that makes you an evil person. In fact, if your reporting results in cuts to the program, that makes you more evil than the fraud. See the progressive media treatment of Nick Shirley in Minneapolis. This is why, under Democratic leadership, you have massive social program expansion - in their mind they are being compassionate and just. It's a very narrow mindset. It can't comprehend charity, family formation, and individual responsibility, which produce better results, because those aren't important principles to a socialist. It's easier to use the power of government to tax, create an unaccountable program, and feel better about making the world a better place, even though it never really does. Take Colorado, for instance - it's more and more dependent on government for education, healthcare, housing, and food than at any point. Total Democratic control, which has brought bigger government, has not brought any additional human flourishing. In fact, people are fleeing the state. Why are people leaving a state that has more government programs than at any point in its history? Shouldn't it be a more compassionate, equitable state? So what's more evil? Taxing people against their will, creating programs rife with fraud, and making people perpetually more dependent on government or requiring people to take individual responsibility and rely upon the charity of others?
