The words "climate change" do not simply refer to the idea that the Earth is getting warmer or cooler.
The Earth is always getting warmer or cooler. Sometimes there were ice ages. Sometimes there were hippopotami in the Thames.
No, the words "climate change" are something more. They are a political slogan.
They do not merely mean that the world is getting warmer right now.
They also mean that this is necessarily a bad thing. That it is your personal fault if you are White and live in America or Europe, but not if you are brown and live in India or China. That you must give up technology your ancestors enjoyed, and pay more taxes so that California can spend 132 billion dollars on 100 meters of rail.
"Climate change" means treating a slow, inevitable, and natural process as a perpetual crisis requiring perpetual money.
This is nothing but a perpetual grift, where the politically connected swear the ice caps are melting, fly around in private jets to tell you about it, then collect your money to buy beachfront property.

I’m starting to think that I’m the only right-winger on this platform who believes that climate change is a real phenomenon. Not saying it hasn’t been exaggerated in the media, but I just don’t see how you can wholesale reject it.

@andythegymrat @davepl1968 The only rational conclusion when someone posts a map showing hot temperatures and then says “see? Global warming!”.
It doesn’t make me feel better, but it is what it is.

@armageddonwinks @davepl1968 Not exactly, in fact not really at all, but reduce it to that if it makes you feel better.

There, I fixed it! I fixed Global Warming with a palette change:

The UK just “smashed” its May temperature record… but here’s the part the Met Office conveniently leaves out:
The PREVIOUS record was set in 1922.
That’s 104 years ago.
Long before SUVs, private jets, or modern CO₂ emissions. Heathrow Airport didn’t even exist yet. The area was literally farmland and small villages.
So if a 1922 heatwave could produce nearly identical temperatures in a world with ~130 ppm less CO₂, maybe, just maybe, natural variability plays a much bigger role than the panic merchants admit.
Met Office@metoffice
Temperatures at Heathrow have recently reached 33.5°C, provisionally beating the all-time May record

So if it was this hot 82 years ago, and this is the first time it has been matched, global warming isn’t a thing.

In the last year, the world has printed 9.3% more money.
Global M2 money supply has reached $141T in 2026.
When inflation starts to run hotter again, they will blame it on Iran and other proximate factors.
But the root driver is the money printer has been running hot for the last year. Where?
China increased their money supply by 13.6% in the last 12 months. Their M2 is now $50T, making it the largest global driver of fiat inflation.
US growth in M2 is just 4.6% over the last 12 months, making the US comparatively responsible. (But make no mistake, this means your dollars have been debased by almost 1/20th of their value in just a year.)
Since we live in a global economy, we're subject to the aggregate impact of GLOBAL money printing. The US has been accustomed to being the largest monetary base and therefore largely controlling global debasement.
But China's money supply is now 2x as large as the USA's. Your savings are being debased by Chinese monetary policy decisions and you have no control.
Nobody asked your permission. Nobody told you it was happening.
But your savings just got diluted by 9.3% in one year.
Note: I'm currently updating the Global Asset Landscape for 2026 (see prior tweet). It will be out in the next few weeks, stay tuned!
