95% of the code being written by Claude doesn't imply that one person can build 20x as much. They may only be building 10% more, but that code is primarily as output from Claude. For me, with extensive claude config and planning, I feel like I can get a 10% - 100% improvement on velocity, depending on the particular problem. There are a few niche use cases where I'd say I see a 5x+ improvement, but it's a small percentage of my work.

@paulg Source: I currently have the second biggest app on atproto (Skylight) Paul, you’re assuming a particular victory condition that is different than the one they have! They’re a decentralized web company; Bluesky is meant to bootstrap the open social network so others can build.

Custom ASICs and FPGAs can optimize calculations such as data compression, inference or encryption tasks, theoretically 5x faster with 10x less energy, which is a breakthrough. We'd love to fund LLM-based systems to build these, and with OpenAI O1 it's an ideal time to do it

Once you understand Kardashev Scale, it becomes utterly obvious that essentially all energy generation will be solar. Also, just do the math on solar on Earth and you soon figure out that a relatively small corner of Texas or New Mexico can easily serve all US electricity.
