@KentHighways I am trying to find out if the road into Newenden (A28) from the north is now open. Last week it was closed before Newenden with no access available, however there was NO SIGNAGE & NO NOTICES ONLINE or on ONE.NETWORK

@armour_ps There was an emergency permit for a burst water main on the 5th & 6th March which has since been closed down. Sounds like it could have been this.

@KentHighways NO it was not the bridge. This was a closure North of the main village, after the Rolvenden turning. It was a Friday morning. I am due to work along Lossenham Lane this week and need to ensure access

Inflation has fallen today. This is welcome news, but I know families across the country are still struggling with the cost of living. There’s more to do. My government is carrying on with the work of tackling the cost of living and making families better off.

@KingBobIIV @newlook Argos refused to give me a receipt for a refund today. Reason......I hadn't entered my email when I purchased the wrong item. Most I got was a photograph of the computer screen that showed the refund has in fact been done. 3-5days for refund. If purchased it 3min ago!

I just spent £61 in @NewLook and was told I had to give my email address to get a receipt. That is completely false and totally unlawful. A receipt is a legal requirement when a customer asks for one and it cannot be made conditional on handing over personal data. UK GDPR is very clear that consent has to be freely given and necessary for the service. An email is not needed to print a receipt. What makes this worse is their target demographic is younger people who often do not know their rights. The girls (all of them) behind the till lied straight to my face, then got shitty when I challenged them. When she realised I was a nasty mean old bird, she finally printed mine, and everyone else in the queue suddenly asked for printed receipts too. That tells you everything. Customers do not want this. I will be reporting it, because this kind of data-grabbing is out of control and companies like New Look know exactly what they are doing. It is shocking behaviour.

@Enterprise NEVER USE them! They feel justified in charging £235.91 for a budget replacement tyre on a Fiat 500.....even with admin. Disgrace...... interesting how it just happened to be around my insurance excess
