Even after paying the fees, it was still worth it.
Suppose you use the card for 4 lacs expenses in a year, you get 48000 points + 10,000 Taj Voucher.
Now let's take the value of Amex points as 0.6 Paisa, then total reward value is 28800 + 10,000 Taj Voucher = 38,800
Net reward value will be 32,900 after deducting the 5900 fees.
It comes around 8.2% reward rate, which is still very good 🙂

Feeling so sad for everyone who closed their Amex Plat Travel just because there was no retention offer. 🙄 Meanwhile, with the Amex Taj GV revaluation and the possibility of GST payments, the card is absolutely worth holding, even without a retention offer.
