@Matt_Pinner A farmer who’s been bottoming out post holes all day with his bare hands. The dirt gets in between nail layers. Takes 48 hours to wash out with normal daily washing protocols (after initial efforts with a marathon bout of hand washing). Another reason hardworking men are despised

Stanford scientists found one bacteria missing in almost every obese, diabetic, and inflamed patient they studied. It's supposed to make up 3-5% of your gut. In people with metabolic problems, it's often 3,000 times lower. This bacteria has one job. It lives in the mucus lining of your gut wall, The last layer of defense between your bloodstream and the outside world. It eats old mucus, stimulates your body to make fresh mucus, and seals the wall tight. When it's there, your gut barrier is strong. When it's gone, the wall thins: Weight becomes harder to lose Food particles leak through Blood sugar misbehaves Cholesterol creeps up Inflammation climbs Researchers at Nature Medicine gave this bacteria to overweight adults for 3 months. The results: - Cholesterol dropped - Insulin sensitivity improved - Liver inflammation markers fell - Gut barrier function strengthened - Body weight started trending down without a single diet change Here's what people are reporting when they rebuild this strain and its probiotic cousins: Blood sugar stabilizing Cravings for sugar fading Bloating disappearing in days Skin clearing after years of struggle Clothes fitting differently in a matter of weeks What destroys this bacteria? Alcohol Antibiotics Chronic stress Artificial sweeteners High-fat, high-sugar processed diets You can't buy this specific strain at most health food stores. But you can feed the bacteria you already have, and colonize with related strains that do similar work - At levels 10x higher than any capsule. The trick is fermentation. A jar of homemade yogurt fermented with the right strain for 36 hours at the right temperature can deliver 200+ billion live probiotic cultures per serving. A store-bought yogurt? Maybe 1 billion if you're lucky. Dr. William Davis (author of "Super Gut") has spent years documenting exactly how to do this at home. I've been making it myself for 3 years. The difference in how I feel is night and day. Comment PROBIOTICS and I'll send you the free guide on how to make unlimited probiotics at home. P.S. MUST Follow for me to DM you.

@id1om @AndySaunders_1 Thank you, I appreciate you getting the transcript. I have often thought about how Artemis 2 was shadowing the Apollo 13 “free return” orbit so Apollo 13 probably wasn’t far from their minds at any time during the farther reaches of the mission.

#OTD in 1970, the Apollo 13 crew got their first glimpse of the damage caused by the explosion that occurred 200,000 miles from Earth. The recent Artemis II mission helps us comprehend the gravity of the situation. Here's my photographic analysis of the damage:

@AndySaunders_1 I thought it was interesting/revealing that, at the recent news conference, one of the Artemis II astronauts commented on their increase in anxiety as they travelled ever further from Earth. Expect the crews are only too aware of what they are undertaking.

@Lady_Standby @Rainmaker1973 @WillSmithSpeak I think you can train yourself over many years just by seeing how these situations start off and pan out and then being aware and ready for them to happen. I would definitely be starting to move towards her as she was teetering backwards and looking off-balance.

@Rainmaker1973 @WillSmithSpeak The way some people get that sense blows my mind. He is probably highly intuitive. What’s crazy about this is he probably watched this play out in slow motion. I know that sounds insane, but it’s real. I’m only speaking from my own personal experience of course.

@BlueLightDiet I’m wondering about the timing of the oral red light session. Is it in the same session as this one?: “Morning natural light or bright light therapy and full body red/NIR session if you cant get outside.”

Red Light and Gut Health Pro Tip (Hint: Open Your Mouth) You don’t need to shine red light straight onto your gut (almost impossible anyway). Just hit your mouth with red/NIR and the oral-gut axis does the rest.... In the study below (Hakimiha et al., Front Med), you see that red light therapy aimed at YOUR MOUTH... • Oral PBM (660–904 nm) alters the oral microbiome and creates rapid changes in the gut via the oral-gut axis • Boosts beneficial bacteria (Akkermansia, Faecalibacterium, Allobaculum) while reducing pathogens • Lowers systemic inflammation, improves metabolic health and may even protect the brain (Alzheimer’s/Parkinson’s link) So what do you do based on this study and blue light diet principles? • 5–10 min oral red/NIR daily (660–850 nm on gums/tongue) • ZERO blue light after sunset so wear your blue blockers, use black out curtains and red night lights (see my favorites at the link in bio or replies below) • Daylight only eating window • Morning natural light or bright light therapy and full body red/NIR session if you cant get outside. Oral red light therapy PBM is a backdoor to fix your gut microbiome while also improving your oral health and microbiome.

The San Francisco-born small business, Philz Coffee, just lost its community values after being bought out. Now owned by private equity firm Freeman Spogli, Philz is no longer allowed to display pride flags. This sad moment highlights the critical importance of locally-rooted businesses that support and understand the communities they serve, including the LGBTQ community.

You're talking about XLinks, which hasn't been built yet. The difference is that the right transmission capacity needs to be in place for the given generation. Xlinks would likely be sized correctly from the start, whereas the GB grid hasn't kept up with generation build-out in Scotland. It's not a technical issue, it's politics and cost.

Great Britain threw away 5GW of available wind power during Storm Dave and replaced it using gas 🔥 That's one and a half Sizewell C-sized nuclear power stations, or four Dogger Bank A-sized wind farms. Or to put it another way, it's a shit load of power. Why throw it away? Because our straw isn't big enough… Constraints on the electricity transmission network between Scotland and England (as well as further north in Scotland) mean that we can't move enough energy across the border without overloading the system. Imagine a cup constantly filling with water, if your straw is too thin then you won't be able to drink enough water before the cup overflows. In our case the straw is the electricity grid at the border, and the water is the energy generated by the wind farms in Scotland. Any overflowing water would be bad news for the grid so we do everything we can to avoid it. The result is that we pay generators in Scotland to reduce their output so the cup doesn't overflow. Wind farms are usually picked for this because they are the cheapest to switch off and can provide the volumes of energy needed to resolve the constraints. However, the electricity is still needed in the south (it's still thirsty) so what happens next is that we replace that lost wind energy at the last minute with electricity generated via (usually) gas. This is not only a waste of low-carbon energy, it's also expensive. You can see this play out on my map and in the attached visual: 🚦 Traffic-coloured lines show boundary constraints 🟡 Yellow rings show wind farms that were turned off 🔴 Red rings show gas plants that were turned on I'll post a link to the map in the thread.

This is from the 2014 Rosetta mission of the comet (67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko), I spent some time finding it because of Kai's post about Matt Taylor: x.com/Code_of_Kai/st… He was instrumental in this project yet was vilified for wearing an inappropriate t-shirt during the briefing. A struggle session ensued for him, it was one of the most absurd moments I'd ever seen. This short film was about the Rosetta project and how they presented their program, what amazing hubris. Fortunately, Dr. Taylor is still working and thriving in his research. How many men can say the above after being ripped over the coals by the ever sensitive fem-Nazis?
Code_of_Kai@Code_of_Kai

Yes, I remember this event, and it was appalling. Struggle session is very apt, and highlights the sinister aspect of what happened. He was cut down not only because he wore the shirt, but because he wore the shirt and he accomplished something of merit. That goes beyond sinister.

Oh and here's another interesting one I found: every time we wash the bed sheets, I'll use the dyson to vacuum the sheets (before wash), the pillows, and the naked bed. There's so much white sandy dust. I *think* it might be microplastics because it doesn't look like dust. reddit.com/r/dyson/commen…

@jonmhong @jakeglmn I’ve just swopped out plastics and toxins as I’ve replaced items and clothes over the last five years. It was really easy, low hanging fruit. Almost zero effort to cut out maybe 60-70% of the load. And yet friends/family think I’m paranoid and obsessed. I just do these things…
Jake Gilman@jakeglmn

The simple swaps that actually work: - Filter or distill your tap water - Glass or ceramic food containers - Natural fibers (cotton, linen, hemp) - Cast iron or steel instead of non-stick - Ditch scented candles & air fresheners - French press instead of plastic coffee machine

@artex18 @jakeglmn I don’t think it makes a big difference. Just finding ways to reduce plastics is a great step forward already. My gf used to have instant boiling water from a plastic container; that was prob the worst.

@jonmhong @elonmusk I get daily email newsletters from NYT/Bloomberg just to see what propaganda they’re spreading. Some are summaries of that day’s news articles. Two are dedicated to “health” i.e. aggressive promotion of Pharma without mention of side effects or lifestyle changes. Esp GLP1

People who share videos, links, or pics of the legacy news are serving as routers to those news outlets. For example, Medvi’s PR started from a NYT article, and so many posts are referencing NYT. I predict X will not replace legacy news as @elonmusk is hoping for because of this.

@jonmhong @jakeglmn Thanks, I have a glass and stainless steel kettle but it still has a plastic lid. I sorta overlooked that (although I bought it years before my anti-plastics drive). Do you reckon it makes a big difference tho? Maybe yes because of steam and then dripping back down? Will replace.

We've had to make these changes to reduce microplastics and other chemicals, e.g. PFAS: 1. Reverse osmosis system 2. Electric kettle with no plastic lid 3. Coffee always pour over with ceramic 4. HEPA filter in two rooms 5. Cotton clothes and bed sheets. About to try linen 6. Cast iron and stainless steel cookware
