@aruxist @slicingpaper Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud is probably the worst example you could have picked. He was unmarried for most of his life. In fact, he offered to castrate himself but the Prophet (SAW) prohibited him from doing so. He eventually did marry someone but it was late in his life.

Way I see it: Allah put a certain feeling in young men and women, and expecting them to keep it in check into their mid-20s is oppressive. A 14 year old with urges does not need a program, he/she is totally normal. Get them married.
ukhchai ☕@4oohi

something that came to mind after talking to a sister.. a sad reality, there are muslim teens/young adults who are sexually active and u either get people who choose to ignore it or people who "advise" them harshly we need to address this, maybe thru youth programmes etc

@slicingpaper That's the way it always was though, from literally the beginning of Islam. 14 year old boys definitely did NOT get married during the time of the Prophet (SAW). That would have been extraordinarily rare even in that period. For girls...that's a different story altogether.

@aruxist @mayleees Both are fusha ways of pronunciation, in arabic you can end the last word with sukun "hamza" ه‍ْ if you want, just like you did when gave the bismillah example you didn't say bismillahi

@Omarnksa The symptomatic doesn’t pertain exclusively to them, examples are abound, we have people discussing works from the past centuries, not to further and expand on anything, but for reasons of purported credal purity.

Shaykh Musa Abdullah Jibril (father of Shaykh Ahmad) was asked about the San Diego situation. I took his permission to summarize his response. 1) Brother Amin Abdullah, who was killed protecting the children, can be made Dua for. When the Shaykh was asked if few individuals making takfir on him, or doubting his Islam for merely being a private security guard a basis for valid takfir, he said “ofcourse not”. Shaykh praised the actions of brother Amin Abdullah and said one should make Dua for him. Because a security guard belongs to private business service and does not enforce kufr laws on the masses unlike other government authority positions. 2) Shaykh was asked about the condition of the people praying in the San Diego mosque, considering some faculty members promote voting for the Tawaghit. Shaykh said that the people going to that mosque are Muslims and not everyone agrees with everything certain faculty members do, thus they are not to be blamed. Shaykh said we cannot make a generalized statement on everyone who goes there to pray based on the actions of few staff and admin workers. Note: The answer is according to the knowledge about the matter Shaykh has so far. This question was only asked to clarify any doubts people had, and to safeguard our dead Muslim family from accusations and slanders without proof. May Allah have mercy upon all who were affected by this terrorist attack.

Some meetings leave an impression; ours apparently left a fragrance. Thank you, Mr. President @realDonaldTrump, for your generosity and for topping up this precious gift. May the spirit of that meeting continue to shape a stronger relationship between Syria and the United States.

It’s one thing to hold back on calling one a martyr, but to call a Muslim who was killed protecting other Muslims “dumb”, is just vile. He’s mad that the brother shot in San Diego is being praised by everyone, while he’s still blocking people for not calling him “Ustaad”.

@aruxist i said human error, not sin. human error comes from a slip of the tongue from frequent use, it doesn't and should not happen often but if you intentionally swear by Allah and hide behind this verse if you break it, then it becomes a sin.

@shestryingxjd no, not human error. Allah says laghw meaning casual speech. he doesnt take it as sins. like "wallah ill give it to you" or "wallah no way" there is also other forms of swearing even for serious stuff but we dont have to fast like wallahi in sha Allah, u dont need to fast

@aruxist alright explain to me how the accommodation made to account for human error negates the seriousness of swearing an oath by His name? the exception is not the rule.
