Reading is so powerful now because, in a culture of doing so many things at once, it's stubbornly singular, when you're doing it you can't do anything else, you can't think about anything else, it demands all of you

tmux is ackshually pretty good! The issue with tmux/screen/or any other multiplexer is that tty tech it sits on top just does not really want to support it. So you want up with layers and layers of compatibility hacks throughout the stack. x.com/mitsuhiko/stat…

TBH, AI has helped me ship way faster than before. I spent a day and a half building something that would have easily taken me more than a week without AI. Total loc - a bit less than 2,500. You still need to spend time ensuring that you don't get slop and that AI produces something that feels ready for production and is built with quality and care.

I also want to be able to use a website. I dont want multisecond time loading everything. Honestly, these super vibe coded heavy apps FEEL like 1999 websites. They are SOO dang visibly slow it hurts me. I want our world to feel good and to look good and i understand there is a trade off in time vs money. But this cannot be it.

guys, i honestly do not like clowning on Gary. I don't find being the butt of a joke funny, so I imagine he does not either. But, this is what worries me about where we are going. We are actively encouraging an entire generation that the tech is there when its not, and a couple of silly mistakes made on a website isn't the end of the world, but people's data and breaches are serious. We are entering a very VERY hackable world, and I do not like it one bit.

anthropic’s taste continues to be unmatched. - something cool comes out - nobody does anything with it - anthropic finally goes “okay fine we’ll do it” - thing becomes mega popular people fading mcp was remarkably stupid, and you should definitely start building mcp apps.

Openclaw showed us what is possible if you gave a model its own computer and let it run free, but there's so much bloat that my ADHD brain keeps getting distracted. I'm now trying to set up an openclaw-like free-reign minimal guardrails, but leveraging Claude Code, claude cowork, etc. I will keep sharing what I am able to do, where I get stuck, and if it is feasible or not. #claude
