Fun fact: after Hurricane Maria, Guadeloupe became my village’s connection to the outside world. Our cellphones were roaming, and the only radio stations we could pick up were from there.

Look at how close Guadeloupe is to us. Fave view whenever I go home

Because I no longer live in Dominica, I listen to both Martinique and Guadeloupe La 1ère while I work. The Kwéyòl language will not die with me or my family!

The women from Guadeloupe and Martinique are BEAUTIFUL!!!

Me side eyeing all the people in gwada trying to speak English to Speed, but when I pass with my Kweyol, and my English, they quick to turn up their nose and say they don't speak English.

Je suis en larme

With this Speed tour, I really want the « French Caribbean have French money » narrative to die. Guadeloupe, Martinique,French Guiana, Sxm French side, Puerto Rico and more, we’re still Caribbean colonies, nothing cute about that. Like NOTHING
