I'm writing today about kennings in Old English. Essentially these are two word-metaphors that were used instead of concrete nouns, and they are exquisite. A ship was a 'wave-horse', the sea was a 'whale-road', the mind was a 'thought-chamber', and the sun was a 'sky-candle'.
I find this equally enchanting and repulsive.. the way he is gripping her face makes me feel sick but I like the painting. Maybe I am projecting but it doesn’t feel loving at all #klimt

@GBBranstetter They ripped off Seinfeld more than a few times. Friends was always derivative. Friends was still watchable and had plenty of very funny moments….But Seinfeld was written by two comedic geniuses. Mystery solved.
