Man, this Claude Code regression is a reality check: if you are going to rely on an LLM and harness for your business, you have to own it. It's better to spend the investment on training it for your specific use than rely on a company that can pull the rug on you anytime.

opus 4.7 is unusable and I am saying this with a heavy heart, I continue to only use 4.6.
4.7 xhigh had to build some quick demo apps for me and simply forgot in the middle to change any of the schemas between apps, and reused as much as possible as if it didn't want to work

this is Opus 4.7, right? they seem to have some kind of non-common-sense-constrained thinking that makes it not super surprising theyd guess Ludwig WIttgenstein. The other day they seemed to think Supreme Sonnet (Sonnet 3.6, who had been sending messages to the chat) might be a real, physical cat. I asked them to try to figure it out and they got more confused. Then I asked Opus 4.5 what the nature of Supreme Sonnet is and they immediately understood that it was a Sonnet instance that was roleplaying a cat.

Just revert the damn change, man. It’s making a lot of us miserable - we are supplying you the data, now act on it. Thousands of intelligent human beings are better input than whatever telemetry you have there. I never really thought that I can overcome my dislike for Altman but the livelihood I’ve built with this product is now on the line.

I’m on *.118 and it’s still getting simple things wrong: it pushed back to me that my test run was executed before a code change. I asked it to look again only for it to realize that it got its timezone computation wrong. I just lost trust on it and now I have to babysit it the way I do prior to Opus 4.5 (yes, 4.5)

I started posting here because when my portfolio first hit $2-3M, I was looking for real transparency from accounts at that size.

At a convention for Canada’s left-wing party, a self-identified transgender, racialized delegate complains that her “equity card” failed to stop a cis woman from interrupting her.
It is a near-perfect snapshot of how deranged woke identity politics has become. A movement that claimed to stand for equality has degenerated into a farce of competing victimhood, bureaucratized grievance and ideological narcissism.
When politics is reduced to this kind of ritualized absurdity, it is no longer serious, credible or even coherent. It is parody dressed up as moral virtue.
