We’re building Go Live Checklist, a new Streamlabs Desktop app designed to improve the pre-stream workflow.
It automatically checks your microphone, starting scene, stream title, category and recording status, while also letting you add custom tasks and choose how your progress is displayed.
The goal is to help creators catch setup mistakes before going live and keep the entire preparation process organized inside Streamlabs.

Diversification is key.
Make the most of every stream. Especially if you’re streaming after a whole day at a full-time job. Multistream and repurpose content. Establish a presence across platforms. Stay connected with your audience.
Where sponsors see a creator, show them a trusted brand.

Instability is real, even with all the resources and representation on your side.
At Streamlabs, we've paid creators out of pocket because a partner's layoffs disrupted their invoicing process.
Sponsorship platforms and partners can disappear or change overnight, so don't build your entire business around them

Does this mean you need a manager or agent to negotiate a brand deal? That depends.
A good rep is worth a lot, but the wrong one can blow up a great deal. If you’re at that stage, you have to vet your reps as carefully as you vet the deal itself. Advocate for yourself, understand the terms, and be selective about who you work with.

Quality, experienced partners are your gold.
When an awesome brand has done a lot of creator deals, legal already knows the terms. You skip months of educating an org from scratch. You can focus on getting creative instead of redlining contracts. That’s how sponsorships become long-term partnerships.

Predatory brands are quick to take advantage of a solo creator negotiating against their teams, with no agent, no leverage, and often no idea what the market rate even is.
Even educated creators get backed into a corner when a bad sponsor armors up.

As sponsorships become more competitive, streamers are turning to non-endemic brands.
The opportunity is massive, but many of these companies are still learning how creator partnerships work. Winning them over means educating the entire organization.. not just the marketing team.
