The strongest monetization strategies are layered. Tips, subscriptions, merch, sponsorships, affiliate revenue, memberships, digital products; they aren’t usually life-changing on their own early on. But together, they create stability. The creators who last typically build multiple revenue streams instead of depending on one payout source. (5/6)

I giggle at the fact that they used a screenshot from a decade ago to show what Twitch looks like 😂 But more seriously, Twitch is not a gaming platform for Amazon Ads. It's a culture platform that just happens to include gaming.

Mental health struggles have driven too many talented creators to step away from streaming. Increased competition, creative burnout, online toxicity, and the expectation to be “always-on” can go from overwhelming to dangerous without the right support. This #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, let’s all resolve to be a little kinder to each other. Check in with your streamer friends. Check in on yourself. And don’t be afraid to reach out for help. We’ve got a big community here in streaming - nobody has to do this alone.

Game-aware is the right call — generic audio-energy detection misses so much context. Curious how it handles games outside those 7 though, because that's where most small streamers actually live. The long tail of games is the harder problem, and even within supported titles, finding the sweet spot between clipping everything and missing the real moment is still unsolved as far as I can tell.
