@amrxxer@ACJIndia@PARInetwork That sounds like the best reason to be a journalist!
Thank you so much @amrxxer for taking out the time for this interview. Best wishes from me and everyone at @ACJIndia 🙌
@ashreshmarupaka@ACJIndia@PARInetwork I think multiple journalists and their amazing stories they do around the world is what inspired me to be a journalist (not to sound corny)
@amrxxer Hi! I'm Ashresh, a student journalist at @ACJIndia and this is a formal request for a Twitter interview about you experience as a media professional. Kindly spare a few minutes to answer my questions, I shall be grateful for the same.
@amrxxer@ACJIndia@PARInetwork Sounds like an exciting time to be a journalist! You have answered all my questions eloquently, and to end on a personal note, have you always wanted to be a journalist? If not, what inspired you to take this up as a profession?
@ashreshmarupaka@ACJIndia@PARInetwork Yes definitely! I think Telugu multimedia content is already surging. The election season in Telangana has already begun, unofficially
@amrxxer@ACJIndia@PARInetwork You're right about regional languages, and coming to Hyderabad in this context, do you anticipate a digital resurgence of the local news fraternity? Can we expect a surge in Telugu multimedia content aimed toward the youth in the run for the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections?
@amrxxer@ACJIndia With the democratization of social media access, do you see an uptick in reader engagement, especially from the rural areas? I'm asking this as you're associated with @PARInetwork and you're familiar with the reading tastes of the countryside.
@ashreshmarupaka@ACJIndia When I report of any crime news, I call police officers. Well, most times, they either don't answer the calls or they don't give me the necessary details. This applies to other people as well.
@amrxxer@ACJIndia That's true. Could you share any challenges you have faced working with newsrooms from home? Has there been any event that caught you by surprise?
@ashreshmarupaka@ACJIndia As journalists, there are times when certain stories can't be done by sitting in the comfort of our homes, away from the virus. The pandemic has honestly killed the essence of good old ground reporting.
@amrxxer@ACJIndia That's very kind of you. So what are your broad observations about the media industry since the COVID-19 pandemic hit us? What is the most significant change you’ve witnessed in the way journalists work?
