My answer was simple…. If a pod is hosting microservice, either have a python script and in pod namespace yaml add a irsa variable, which you can use to get the s3-bucket secret. And use boto3 to do whatever read/weite operation. Why people make things so complicated.

I got a really interesting question about DevOps: We have a k8s cluster with multiple customer namespaces, connected with a prod AWS account via transit-gw. If my pods need access to S3 in AWS to write data, do I need vpc-endpoint? I was forced to say yes…..
