I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Congress leadership — Sonia Gandhi ji, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge ji, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi ji, AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal ji, and AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir ji — for placing their trust in me and nominating me as the Congress candidate from the Sreerampur Assembly Constituency in the upcoming Assembly elections. As a dedicated soldier of the party, at a time when Congress is contesting all 294 seats on its own strength, it is imperative that we all stand united for the ideals of development, democracy, and inclusive politics. My candidature reflects the party’s determination to fight this election with full strength and commitment — from booth-level workers to the State PCC. Together, we aim to end the politics of binaries and restore the glory of West Bengal. The people still remember the development brought by the Congress, and we stand firmly with the people of Bengal. The people of Sreerampur are like my family. I have been closely associated with this constituency for many years. I contested my first Assembly election from here in 2016 and narrowly lost. Since then, I have maintained a continuous and heartfelt relationship with the people — sharing in their festivals, joys, and hardships. I remain committed to ensuring good governance in Sreerampur and to serving the people with dedication as their MLA. In 2026, I stand not just as the Congress candidate from Sreerampur, but as a representative of its people — their aspirations, their rights, and their voice in the State Legislative Assembly.
