@DemsRealRacists It can cause disruption for the visa holder, but they can still come back when they get their green card approved from the embassy at their home country. Am I missing something?

This a Stephen Miller tactical nuke. Temporary visa holders are no longer allowed to apply for green cards while staying in the USA. They must first return to their home country.
USCIS@USCIS

USCIS is applying long-standing law and prior court decisions to require certain aliens with temporary visas who decide they want to permanently reside in the U.S. to return to their home countries to apply for permanent visas through the @StateDept. We're returning to the original intent of the law to ensure aliens navigate our nation’s immigration system properly. Here’s what you should know: uscis.gov/newsroom/news-…

An alien who is in the U.S. temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply. This policy allows our immigration system to function as the law intended instead of incentivizing loopholes. The era of abusing our nation’s immigration system is over.

@TathaShakti So disgusting! Why are you eyeing other people’s money? Have some shame and make your own money. If you have a backbone, live in your own house and not someone’s kothi.

@acharjee_speaks Also, girls parents should give her her equal share in family inheritance as well instead of dowry. She should get that in writing approved in court. Then in laws would kin that she also has money even though she may get the money once the parents die

Dowry will disappear from society only when girls’ parents stop fulfilling dowry demands in the hope that it will secure their daughter’s future or help them get a “good” son-in-law. A strong marriage is built on love and mutual respect, not on the amount of money.

@HRISHIKESH3390 Indians want freedom like American children but don’t want the responsibility that comes with it. In America, even a teenager goes to work in summers and save money for their own car and house that they rent once they become adults after 18 years. Beyond that parents don’t help.

@faithhope1133 @ManCityBhakt I agree. This is the only solution to this problem. All men should move in with their wives family. There is another solution that all the other countries in the world follow: Live in your own house. Husband wife live separately from both set of parents. Works just fine

I cannot believe that COSTCO, a family store where there are many children with their parents would allow this POS wear that shirt in the store. I will be contacting COSTCO CORPORATE later today. I know we, in the USA 🇺🇸, have freedom of speech but not hate speech or these kind of statements when in a public place. President Donald J. Trump should take action.

@poarch88 @ManCityBhakt And since men are always respected more therefore no one will be abused! Girls and her husband will be treated nicely at her house and her brother and bhabhi will be treated nicely at bhabhis house. Problem solved

@poarch88 @ManCityBhakt I think the solution is that men live with women’s parents in their house! There is no other solution to this problem. Their sons should also leave the house and live with their bahus family. Let’s see how many parents would enjoy that.

So, this lady admitted to having multiple sexual partners before marriage and her MIL only asked her if she wants the same to continue post marriage. And the internet is going livid over it? Yeah, lost generation.
barkha dutt@BDUTT

Incontrovertible evidence of how Twisha Sharma was abused and maligned by her husband and his mother emerges on tape. Imagine a mother in law who asks her daughter in law about her sexual history, former partners, accusing her of promiscuity- and comparing her to a prostitute, while, her son, calls his wife a R##ndi . Who made this lady a judge ? I was truly chilled to the bone when I heard this audiotape - where Twisha Sharma’s brother, a serving major in the army confronts his sister's mother in law and takes her on for the constant harassment of Twisha. On April 22nd days before she was tragically found dead in the judge’s home, the family secretly recorded what may now stand as one of the most chilling windows into the cruelty Twisha endured inside her marital home. In the audio, accessed exclusively by Mojo Story, Former Judge, Giribala Singh can be heard brazenly defending her son against the complaint that he called cTwisha a “r*ndi” . She can be heard aggressively saying that it’s her right to know whether her daughter in law has had multiple partners in the past. And then- that oldest trope in the world- she questions her morality, accuses her of promiscuity and invokes parallels with prostitutes ( used in this context as an abuse by her) , language so vile, so dehumanising, it is hard to listen to without outrage. @poarch88 @ManCityBhakt Well decide first what kind of life are you suggesting is ideal for a woman. The life you described is not going to be tolerated by modern women. Modern women want only nice things, the don’t work in the house or do job, they just want money and no work

@asktini @ManCityBhakt and also demand dowry, make them do all house work while also asking them to have a job for themselves, make them sole caretakers of children and abuse them whenever they feel like. sounds good. the girl and parents can live however they want.

I know of a case where a daughter-in-law used to vomit first thing every morning because of the constant abuse and emotional congestion in that house. People talk about domestic violence only when they see bruises, but prolonged fear and humiliation can destroy a person’s nervous system from the inside out. A nervous system forced to survive hostility every single day eventually breaks down. Trauma lives in the body too. #JusticeforTwisha

@faithhope1133 @ManCityBhakt Firstly I am a woman. I know women will like that. But they should ask their parents which I can guarantee would not be willing to spend so much money on another human. In fact most indian parents want to offload their daughters into others. You can ask yours first

@asktini @ManCityBhakt Listen I know you said it thinking of it as a jab but I guarantee you most women would LOVE that if the man agrees. I personally have asked that question from the men I have met and suddenly they all thought I was the crazy “feminist type”. So I don’t really know what y’all want.

@asktini @MattLaemon Even at this age society shames divorce women. It's easy to say go ahead or move on. Everyone is not privileged. People still care about their surroundings. Even so called strong men worried about other men's opinions on their masculinity

People are saying parents failed her the most but let me tell you, every single girl in India knows once she’s married that the parents are Tata bye bye. The treatment is so ingrained that mom dad doesn’t even come to mind as first saviours in most situations. There’s a silence from the other side that’s deafening and embarrassing.
Khushboo Mattoo@MattLaemon

Maybe we forget in all of this that it was not the mother in law that hurt Twisha the most. It was the man who she fell in love with. Who she trusted to marry. Let’s not forget what drove her to the end. It was the DECEIT Never marry too quickly.

@divya_16_ Was she living in the in laws house? Using their food, space, groceries, vehicles, other amenities? If yes, then there was nothing wrong in giving the money which probably wasn’t enough. If she wanted freedom, she could have lived separately paying rent or buying her own house.

Giribala's behaviour reminds me of a friend who was made to handover her entire salary to the FIL immediately after marriage. She resented but complied. I always wondered why she gave in. Now I can imagine. She probably knew her fate if she refused. These monsters live amongst us.

Any woman who is against dowry should ditch her father if he is ready to give dowry on her behalf. The groom's father is greedy, agreed, so take things into your own hands and stop your own father from giving dowry. You go girl 💅 We all support you
