Supreme Court, exposed the madness of India’s matrimonial “industry.” Yesterday in Supreme Court, before Justice Pardiwala’s Bench, there was a matrimonial case where the husband was willing to pay 40 lakhs alimony and the wife demanded 7 crore. The judge laughed with both amusement and disdain saying, “How can this be resolved? 40 lakhs and 7 crore.” Looking at the wife’s lawyer, the judge said, “Advise your client to be reasonable. This will not work. The moment a girl makes such demands—15 crore, 10 crore—we just…” Justice Pardiwala did not finish the sentence, but it was clearly understood that the court loses respect. He further said, “If she was an honourable girl she will not do this. Let the trial (for the DV case) proceed, and if he (the husband) wins, she will not get anything. Remember that, be prepared for that.” At this point, the wife’s lawyer said she would speak to her client again and try to bring down the demands. Justice Pardiwala said, “Yes, do that. You still have an opportunity to settle this amicably. We may ask the other side to raise 40 lakhs.” How this system blackmails the parties and saveguard women from getting penalised for the case she is tend to loose if trial goes..

GEMS OF FSSAI A raid in Surat’s Pandesara area led to the seizure of around 1400 kg of suspected paneer. Laboratory tests confirmed the presence of vegetable oil mixed with industrial acids!! For the past 2 years, nearly 400 kg of paneer was being produced daily and supplied to dairies, hotels, restaurants, and caterers. Interestingly the operator held an FSSAI license registered in Vasai, but was running this illegal manufacturing unit in Surat.

His name was Deepak U. He was 42 years old. A sales officer at a textile firm in Kozhikode Kerala. On January 16 he was travelling on a KSRTC bus to Kannur for work. A woman on the bus filmed a video and posted it on social media. She alleged he had touched her intentionally. The video got 20 lakh views. Deepak had no idea the video existed until his friend told him. He denied it completely. He spent the next 48 hours in mental agony as strangers judged him based on a 30 second clip. On the night of January 17 he told his friend he wanted to meet a lawyer. He was confident of his innocence. On the morning of January 18 his parents knocked on his door. He did not respond. They found him hanging. The woman was arrested for abetment of suicide. She was denied bail. In India a 30 second video can take a man’s life before any investigation begins. No court. No inquiry. No due process. Just a post. And then a funeral.

Next time your train is delayed and costs you something real — you have the right to file a consumer complaint. Use it.

Delhi Police busted a fake Sensodyne toothpaste unit, seizing 130 kg of fake harmful chemical paste and thousands of tubes (see images). An exact copy of the original! Earlier, fake products were crude copies with lookalike names (Adidas-Abibas), sold by small shopkeepers, so informed buyers could spot them easily. Now, scammers are producing identical replicas and selling them on e-commerce platforms as genuine products. What’s real and what’s fake, no one can say for sure. Wish we need a reliable agency to verify them and make us feel safe.
