@schnadle @irisketball Yeah I don’t think “wildly inefficient” is the right term, I guess he’s more inconsistent on a nightly basis than his peers. I feel like if he improved his shot diet and played at least half decent defensively throughout an entire season then he would absolutely be in that tier.

@schnadle @irisketball When comparing to his peers I mean other mvp candidates, that’s the type of convos he’s thrown in daily on this app. He just isn’t in that realm of players as of now. I must’ve read my stats wrong for the turnover percentage stat, nba website has his at 10.3% around 200th

@asteroidstm @irisketball If by “his peers” you mean Jokic, Giannis, and Shai, sure. He’s less efficient than two big men and the most efficient guard of all time. Also what’s the prerequisite you’re excluding from the TO% stat? Dunks and Threes says he’s 190th, not 25th.

@schnadle @irisketball Luka has around the 25th highest turnover percentage, he doesn’t have a good AST/TO ratio, he’s a high volume shooter but is only slightly above average for ts%, and he leads the league in usage percentage. Compared to his peers he’s a wildly inefficient superstar imo.

@schnadle @irisketball I determine efficiency by a combination of numerous stats. The most obvious of which is shooting percentage stats which Luka constantly hovers around slightly above league average ~+3%. I also think things like TO%, ORB%, AST/TO , Free throw rate, and usage percentage are factor.
