As the counting of first preferences for the South Australian nears completion, turnout has reached 88.2%. With a bit more counting to come, that's close to final turnout of 89.0% in 2022. #savotes

@adelaide_life @AntonyGreenElec Friend of mine received one eventually (after several weeks) but it was too late for him, as he had already gone on holiday.
BTW, it’s ECSA, not the AEC who are responsible here. I wonder how many across the state missed out because of this.

@AntonyGreenElec My parents did not get their postal ballots. They called the Electoral Commission a few days prior to the election to ensure they had been sent, & were told they had been sent but that AEC was overwhelmed with people who had not received their ballots & they didn't know why. 🤷🏻♀️

@TheMonologist My favourite film. I am biased as I work for CSIRO and go to the Parkes radio telescope often for work. There is a great visitor's centre as well.

@DrShaneRRR @DavidPocock I was a postdoc for most of the 1990s. Living off contracts (4 in that time) took its toll. Was fortunate to score a research position with DSTO as it was then. But over the decades we stopped doing things and these days it is mostly a program management organisation.

CSIRO have now lost more jobs under the Albanese Governmet than under the Abbott Government.
We have to do better on research funding and backing our scientists.
