$250,000/month from a subscription cancellation app. with ONLY 5,000 installs a month. here's how MonoBoost makes it work: - CNN/LendEDU stats about financial stress - shows a mock receipt of what you're wasting on subscriptions - 50% OFF on all tiers + countdown timer - yearly pre-selected, $1.92/week ("Most Popular") - every tier is broken down to a per-week cost - quarterly plan hidden behind "See all plans” - close the paywall → survey asks "what stopped you from buying?" - then → $0.99/first week (90% off) - framed as "less than a cup of coffee” - skip all of it and core features are still locked in-app

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world. Most of all, it’s a testament to the resilience and determination of the Hungarian people – and a reminder to all of us to keep striving for fairness, equality and the rule of law.

@adamlyttleapps Using the MacBook notch as a Claude status monitor is unhinged in the best possible way. You built a mini dashboard for your AI collaborator into the hardware bezel — iOS-aware too. This is what tool-building looks like when you actually use the tool.

Screw it, I made it open source.. This is Notchy -_- He stops you getting distracted when using Claude code by replacing your Macbooks notch with a terminal He lets you know when claude needs your attention And plays a sound when tasks are complete Best of all: he stops your macbook going to sleep while claude is working I built this for me, maybe you will find it useful too? As a swift developer Notchy has some custom functionality I built: - When a new XCode project is open he launches a new tab - If claude.md is detected he launches straight into claude code - Command + S saves a quick snapshot of code and I can restore from that checkpoint any time Enjoy :) github.com/adamlyttleapps…
Adam Lyttle@adamlyttleapps

I kept getting distracting while vibe coding… so I made a notch for Claude Code It updates the status, pings you when you need to answer a question and notifies you when the task is done When it detects claude is working it also prevents my macbook from going to sleep I can walk away from my macbook. Or watching a youtube video. And I'll get an alert when it's done.

$40K MRR iphone app. Solo founder. He can't code. I gave him a call and we talked for hours. I edited and condensed it down to give you the most alpha: – Why the app store is secretly untapped (1:53) – Why most apps make $0 (2:38) – How he validates $1M ideas (4:13) – FULL breakdown on how he builds (4:55) – The best marketing channel in the world (7:13) – The 2 ways to monetize mobile apps (9:12) – The 8 tools he uses on a daily basis (11:31) – The most profitable niches to build in right now (12:52)

@bohumilo @PeepsYGO How is this pinned on your page but you don't get that splitting countries into subdivisions makes the statistic useless? Anyway, I've got better things to do, good day sir.

Not 3 but 16 of the top 20 political units in the world for well-being are in the U.S., and all of them are near the top (as the US as a whole is). And if you actually read the paper, you’ll see it isn’t merely separating states (though that makes perfect sense when comparing them to smaller countries — randomness always produces more outliers in small units), but also using a totally different framework for defining happiness.

@bohumilo @PeepsYGO 3. U.S. states flooding the top of a wellbeing list isn’t proof of superior wellbeing. It’s a statistical artifact of splitting one country into 51 units, using uniform surveys with huge samples. If we split Germany or Japan the same way, their regions would dominate too.

@bohumilo @PeepsYGO 2. A few wealthy U.S. states look good, that doesn’t tell you how the country performs. States aren’t sovereign, they rely on national institutions. Pointing to Massachusetts to claim the U.S. outranks Norway is like pointing to London to claim the UK outranks Switzerland.

The air cargo duopoly is officially dead. Airbus just confirmed the A350F is not playing second fiddle... it’s coming for the throne. 111 tonnes (and they’re openly saying more to come), lower fuel burn than 777F, main deck nose door option later, built on the most reliable widebody airframe ever certified. FedEx, Qatar, Etihad, CMA CGM, Air France… they’re all betting against the 777F future. When fuel stays above $80 and carbon taxes actually bite, will any smart cargo airline still order another 777F? Or is the A350F the first freighter specifically designed for the 2030s, not the 1990s? The 777F had a 20-year free ride. That ride ends in 2027.

"everything in Europe is better" 😆 The poorest US states, those that serve as the butt of jokes about retardation caused by inbreeding, are richer than ANY European state. On the left is what the median person actually receives after taxes, accounting for prices (PPP) & all the "free stuff". Even the poorest 20% are, per capita, richer than majority of Europe. (image on the right) Europe isn’t producing anything, doesn’t have economic growth, can’t defend yourself, all rights are taken away from them, they get police at their doorstep at 6 a.m. for a meme, etc., etc.— it’s not going to end well...

@lusanchezzuber @levelsio Currently in Vietnam, it‘s depressing to see the beaches and roadsides full of plastic! (Also caveat, fishing gear is the major contributor to macroplastic, but total plastic waste in the ocean consists of far more microplastic instead)

Did you actually read it? Polymers break down into monomers otherwise known as microplastics… not sure that’s a solution. I general agree with you, a bunch of stuff they push on the consumers with the amount of waste industry does is ridiculous (80% of plastic in the ocean comes from fishing industry), but saying/thinking we’ve solved plastic without reading doesn’t help anyone. As someone who travels if you’ve been to India or SE Asia I’m sure you’ve seen that plastic very much is a real issue.

This is the way to go Instead of changing to shitty alternatives like paper straws, wooden cutlery, and cassava bags that disintegrate and are all inferior to plastic You gotta make something that's good for the environment AND as good or better than plastic (cheap and strong) Also bacteria that break down plastic seems to be promising That's why I hate the performative eco stuff, it makes our lives worse when instead we should be looking at making our lives better while caring for the environment And you do that by inventing new technology instead of limiting the AC and making us suck through paper straws
Danny Postma@dannypostma

More and more I'm starting to believe every major issue we caused has a solution to it once we actually start to get close to it becoming a massive problem. Refreshing way to not be a doomer.
