Imagine, you go out with your mum and friends for the evening. You are followed and stalked by a man you don’t know. This happened to Oliwia Zawislak, a 19 year old girl in Cheltenham. She had left a night out early as she was working the next day when Abdolrahman Banafsha approached her on August 31, 2025. She was so frightened she went into a pub but they told her it was closed and she had to leave. When she got outside Banafsha, an Iranian asylum seeker who arrived in the UK on a small boat, dragged her into a nearby house where he assaulted her. Eventually she managed to get away and fled the house. He was arrested later that day and given just 27 months in a young offender’s institute after he admitted his guilt. He is 20 years old.
