Peter Obi should lead. Right now he is not leading the opposition. I say this after reading Prof's comments. PO and Prof cannot escape being treated as opposition by playing the ostrich. You are opposition Sirs. Please lead

Corporate translator I've been in many corporate meetings and I felt like I needed a corporate translator. This translation is very accurate. I don't know why companies just can't come out and say what's going on in plain language. 🙄

Update: On Sallah day, she came to our house and started again, telling my daughter she's not fine. I spoke up firmly and said I don't like it, that I don't want my daughter growing up with low self-esteem just because she's darker than her siblings. She got upset, shouted that it was only play, that the child is always jovial with her so that's her way of joking. I told her again that I don't like it. She then acted like I disrespected her and started playing the victim. Thankfully, her husband stepped in and told her that since I don't like the "joke," she should stop. After that, she didn't talk to me or the kids for the rest of the day. Honestly, I don't care I'm just glad I stood up for my daughter.

Hi mamas I need your honest advice pls... My husband's uncle's wife has this habit of comparing my kids looks. Everytime we see, she jokingly calls my second daughter "Omo ti o fine" (the one that's not beautiful) while praising my first and last born. This has been going on for a long time. I wanted to confront her straight up, but my hubby says "just ignore her, she's like that." And none of her own girls even come close to my baby's glow and beauty yet she keeps doing this nonsense. I refuse to let anyone plant low self-esteem in my baby girl. Mamas, what would you do? Tell her to stop? or I should keep ignoring?

A Danish scientist counted bugs on the same windshield, same road, same conditions, every year for 20 years. By year 20, 80% of the insects were gone. In Germany, a group of volunteer bug scientists did something even bigger. They set traps in 63 nature reserves, not farms, protected land, and weighed everything they caught. Same traps, same method, 27 years straight. The total weight of flying bugs dropped 76%. In midsummer, when insects should be peaking, it was 82% gone. A follow-up in 2020 and 2021 checked again. No recovery. In the UK, they literally ask drivers to count splats on their license plates after a trip. The 2024 count came back 63% lower than just 2021. Three years. A 2020 study pulled together 166 surveys from 1,676 locations around the world. Land insects are disappearing at roughly 9% every ten years. Here’s where it hits your plate. About 75% of the food crops we grow depend on insects to pollinate them, everything from apples to almonds to coffee. One 2025 study modeled what a full pollinator collapse would look like: food prices jump 30%, the global economy takes a $729 billion hit, and the world loses 8% of its Vitamin A supply. Birds are already feeling it. North America has lost 2.9 billion birds since 1970. A study from just weeks ago found half of 261 bird species on the continent are now in serious decline, and the losses are speeding up in farming regions. The birds that eat insects lost 2.9 billion. The birds that don’t eat insects? They gained 26 million. That ratio tells the whole story. One of the German researchers behind the 27-year study drives a Land Rover. He says it has the aerodynamics of a refrigerator. It stays clean now.

@healthertainer So, what methods/adaptation should be used to transport goods from place to place? Baskets on the head? As a society, we cannot escape the impact of fuel price increase.

Fuel prices are not smiling… and honestly, we need to start moving differently Not every trip needs a car. Some places? You can TREK. Some others? Ride a BICYCLE. Omo… imagine saving fuel money AND improving your health at the same time? That’s double win. We’ve normalized driving everywhere even places 5 minutes away. Meanwhile, we’re complaining about fuel. This is the time to adapt. This is the time to be smart. Invest in a bicycle. Use your legs more. Reduce unnecessary trips. Because at this rate… na only rich people go dey drive go buy bread soon 😭

Next time you hear "Squamous," don't just think of a medical term. Think of the incredible engineering that uses "scales" to build everything from a skull-shield to a lung-filter. 🧬✨ Which "squamous" part is working hardest for you today? (Probably your skin!) #Anatomy #Biology #ScienceFacts #MedEd

#Anatomy Do you know how many parts of the human body are described with the word 'Squamous'? Your body is essentially covered in "scales"—but not the kind you’d see on a mermaid. 🧜‍♀️ In anatomy, the word SQUAMOUS (Latin for "scale-like") is the secret code for your body’s most specialized "tiling." From your forehead to your lungs, here’s why you’re part-reptile: 🧵👇

Tech Bros and App developers. An idea came to mind this morning. Is it doable? I sketched in my Diary. Can we have an App or software whereby, every drug has a bar code. Once you buy a drug or medical item, you scan it and you're instantly notified if it is original or fake. If it is fake, An alert is immediately sent to NAFDAC which means the app's algorithm will be integrated into NAFDAC's database Every Authentic manufacturer too will have these bar codes. For every Flag to NAFDAC, The alert will also trace the location of production and entire distribution chain of the fake manufacturers. Is it a doable? Thinking out loud. I'm open to more discussions. You can send a DM

kan you also believe that the chest-saw and heart-lung machines used for kanu nwankwo’s second surgery at UNTH, ituku ozalla in 2001 were mobilized and supplied by CYN-VIEN Pharmaceutical LTD and we’re still waiting to be paid? nigerian government has failed to settle ₦820m (damages and interest included) or honor their part of the contract... and somehow, the media has also erased nearly all traces of this story. but we have official documents, signed and stamped by the government, FMOH, NHFRA and national health authority since 2001... can’t share them publicly due to confidentiality and company policy, but all court proceedings since 2018 have been to no avail, leaving the matter unresolved till date.

The length of the interview. The interview was took about 4hrs and I had to answer questions on everything about my life. When the offer came, 15 core responsibilities were listed, with a remuneration that left me wondering if it was not slavery. Negotiation was refused. Omo, Nooo. I had to reject it.

@Letter_to_Jack At the core of the problem is illiteracy. The artisans arrive at the site without writing materials, try to keep all details in their memory, and the result is a poor job.

Attention to finer details is really lacking among our artisans in Nigeria. A couple of wash-basin taps in the house were leaking, so I called our plumber to replace all of them. He asked for preferred colors, I told him: Black, Pink (x2) and purple. He came on Saturday and did the installation, but I wasn’t around to supervise his work. You won’t believe this guy installed black in my daughters’ bathroom and pink in my own bathroom. I didn’t notice until my older daughter (curious to a fault, loves the pink color like life itself) asked me why I would put pink tap in my bathroom and black in her own bathroom. It took the mom interceding with a promise to change it today for her to get over the disappointment. This may look like a small detail that could be ignored, but it’s a window into a bigger issue we have. Our artisans struggle with attention to little details. They will complete the task, but miss the thinking behind it.
