Solo pasaba a recordarles que el apartheid sudafricano tenía la costumbre de autodenominarse "la única democracia del continente africano". Sigan con lo suyo, nomás.

This is actually pretty awful advice for any subject. For example, I hate Margaret Thatcher as much as the next guy, but I would have a pretty piss poor understanding of Thatcherism if all I read were testimony from miners, Argentina naval personnel, and IRA volunteers
Kraut@The_Davos_Man

All one needs to know about communism can be learned from reading and listening to the testimony of its victims.

The idea that the USSR decriminalizing sodomy in 1917 was some kind of legal accident is an idea that there is no evidence for but people love to repeat it

@starmyblink_emj @PietaPotato In Swiss dialects, we have that English A (überoffenes E) so we usually write it with an Ä cuz we have no other letter to represent it. I think in Swedish, they also use Ä to write that sound

@PietaPotato Maybe it's not the same pronunciation in Swedish than in German but everyone in the comments is butchering these umlauts and I feel like the a in that is not pronounced like that at all unless it's an heavy accented English ig

Tweet: "fuck this brownie is so good rn" Ten immediate replies: "Well said. Brownies combine eggs, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder in a way that quietly elevates the culture. They're not just a snack, they're a vibe."
