@stevebiddle How long til something goes pop and someone pulls out of those flights or prices become cost recovering? Why are they doing it so cheap if there isn't really much competition on these flights? Just Airnz/qantas isn't it?

Price increase to $325 for taxes and service charges for a return WLG-SYD flight now. Poor airlines are selling seats at a crazy loss for a $532 return sale fare.

Made it to Kohukohunui yesterday, deep in Hunua Ranges. Often said to be highest point in mainland Auckland, though slightly outside the boundary since 2010. Spectacular views to Skytower, Waitemata, Manukau, Waitakere, Firth of Thames, Coromandel & Kaimai Ranges & into Waikato.

@lukechristensen If you go in from the north side it's a fair bit easier. If you bike from the gate to start of track it's maybe 1hr walk each way I think. Otherwise biking to Piggotts prob saves 1 hr each way too. But pretty hard going in there.

Tough walk, 22km, 11 hours & 1300m elevation gain from Piggotts Hutt & return to Mangatawhiri carpark. Rough track, lots of up & downs & tree roots that make for slow going. Though at too cool lookout with sketchy ladder to give the great viewes, plus a basic hut.

@WeatherWatchNZ Trust or use. I use the metservice but I don't trust them to be accurate. I probably trust the rain radar 1 hour out the most.
