This interview is a Rorschach test. He seems like a nice man, and calls Britain his home, but is completely deracinated from our history and doesn't live among its people. He loves the areas of London rendered unrecognisable by decades of immigration and cultural displacement. This man is polite and friendly, but not a custodian of British culture, history, or civilisation. And how can he be expected to be, when it isn’t present around him? In another time, another neighbourhood, he might well have been a member of our national tribe: worn a suit, served a community, met a nice English girl, and settled down. But instead, he's just another member of the multicultural Yookay, which imparts onto him nothing in particular to love or be grateful for.

Empire framing is redundant and only a subversive way of advocating for ethnic replacement. The English have a right to their homeland regardless of the expansive success of a long gone Empire. An empire which massively benefited the world which isn’t something to be used as a punishment.
