There is no purity of rituals or purity away from fellow human touch. There used be, in all religions, but Christianity, Judaism, Even Japanese, Chinese have moved on from this garbage. Unless you treat all humans as equals, your religion is dead period, if not today, tomorrow, conversions, civil unrests. Greatness is not in their skin or in their race, it's in ideas Your Ramayana (written much later) is inspired from Odyssey, look around, with 1 difference, even though stories, events, characters are same, Odyssey compels you to think about the values I described above, while Ramayana talks about Dharma, Karma, Responsibility, essentially someone else or some bigger force deciding your future.
