There are 3 solutions to this 1) A shotkkey diode (or any diode with low forward bias voltage) at the USB to prevent back flow and also at the output of the DC-DC 2) simply isolate the dc-dc and USB. Even without 5V, even if grounds are combined, data tranfer will occur to the SBC even if powered by the DC DC. Your PC hence will be completely isolated. 3) you can use a MOSFET to change the supply of priority such that when the DC-DC is connected, the USB wont be used, but when the USB is connected, power will only flow from the USB (Can also be implemented with a telecom Relay).

@JeremySCook Inductive spike at startup resetting the chip probably, a diode in series and is the chip being powered by the ISP programmer or an external power supply? External supply might have a better result probably.

Trying to use this to power a hobby servo and have been getting some strange behavior - resets apparently, works intermittently. Thoughts? Tried using a .1 uf cap on the VCC of the ATTiny chip and some other combinations of caps at +SW and VCC.

If you don't mind loosing 1.4V and want reverse polarity protection, use a bridge rectifier with 4 diodes (in DC).

Succesfully integrated my DIY soldering hot plate into a proper case with protection. No more flimsy MDY shaking.

Our first import as a company. I have personally imported 20-30 of these rails before tho. This is getting expensive as USD is getting more expensive. It’d be great if someone made these rails in India at the same quality and similar price point. If not, we’ll be making this internally at some point. There’s a lot of performance to be gained by optimising the geometry of these rails in some applications :)

Made 2 posts. We built our own drone, 80% indigenous designed and developed inhouse by @AgamRobotics right from avionics parts, frames, etc. But not much response 😔 Look at the noise I made regarding the imports and people are going wild. Some are even fighting with me.

Coil continues to work after 1+ year on the shelf.
