It's been a while so here's some updates about this project: -The one you see here is just a quick proof of concept made from my old 3D printer parts. -Production machine needs to be reliable and fully automated. Full automation means you can give it a stack of books, it'll give you a stack of written books. 1 machine can serve almost 500 students -I’m currently prototyping two separate machines: one for A4 paper and one for books. Integrating both into a single, fully automated machine is extremely challenging. -Full automation with reliability while DFA, DFM and lean design is challenging, so it's taking time. I obviously can't share details because it will be patented. -Got our startup registered, the lab for R&D and small scale manufacturing will need to be constructed.

@Xaraphim WTF, metro ticket checkers are that complicated? I'm not allowed to complain about over-engineering since it's Japan

@lrocket In 1969, it's easier to land on the moon than to fake it with a high quality video. Wild time we live in.

@_devalopr @alpha_defense That is what i said at first place. It is bomb running. Going back with supersonic speed. Standard practice. Americans are not stupid to fly low over airspace where IRGC have 3000+ manpads in their hands

AB is used to rapidly increase altitude or speed. If it was at cruising speed and altitude, AB will be off. Commercial planes also reduce the throttle once they reach the cruise phase. Drones are easy targets. They're defenseless. They probably got a lucky shot when the F35 was low and slow for some weird reason. Not sure if that video is real tho.

@_devalopr @alpha_defense Yes they use AB only at high speed or when the payload is high. F18 flying over chabahar because it is not a protected port. It was with india before india left it last month. There are tons of same abgle video showing high flying mq9/hermes get shot down by same system

You have no idea how any of this works Using afterburners doesn't mean it's very high. It's more used at lower altitudes. They use it for takeoffs as well. IDK why they flew low and slow but there are videos of F18s from the same carrier doing the same thing over Chabahar F35's DAS system can detect IR missile launches and warn the pilot. The lack of reaction from the pilot means that there was little time to react- therefore the launcher was very close.

@_devalopr @alpha_defense Flying low and slow for what? Not possible. In fact you can see the afterburners are on which means it is at very high speed, most probably bomb running. Yes this is radar based system

@AatishKapoort @alpha_defense It must have been flying low and slow. Also, I said "glorified manpads" for a reason. These are truck mounted systems. Either way, pretty sure this is not a radar based one.

If genuine, the F-35 just proved itself as one of the stoutest airframes in American service.

@sentdefender This is an IR video feed. If real, this must have been a short range IR based SAM. F35's stealth is in RADAR, it has very little in IR (IR only works at short ranges)

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has release a statement, accompanied by video footage, which claims to show the targeting of an American F-35A/B Lightning ll with a surface-to-air missile in the skies over Iran. This claim by the IRGC follows reports that a F-35 was damaged and forced to make an “emergency landing” at an air base in the Middle East due to hostile fire over Iran.

@bindureddy @elonmusk Let me translate. Google < China < SpaceX. Google can be the winner in the west without being the winner on the whole world. Sovereign AI is important.

Gemini 3.0 didn’t quite work out and most of us are still stuck with 2.5 Sometimes I don’t get it - what’s preventing Google from ditching all the side hustles and training 100 models from 100 teams in parallel Pick the model/team combination that produces a decent model! That way, they will at least stay in the AI race 😅

These modules suck. It takes 8 hours to charge ts. The output current capacity is also low. Waaay lower than what the cells themselves can do. I guess I should make my own.

Maturity is realizing that @elonmusk has always been a real nigga. His predictions are more accurate than you'd think. On a strategic level, he does what he does to aid in the survival of our civilization. IDK any non head of state who does more in that regard. That being said, I don't always agree with everything he says. He is often over-optimistic and he sets impossible timelines to push himself and his team (eg: FSD). He also does unnecessary shit talks (eg: about Claude). But it's been proven time and time again that doubting him is usually a losing bet, even for me. I didn't believe that Starship superheavy could be caught with the launch tower. I also thought that he was just shit talking on OpenAI in the the post I quoted. Turns out, he was right.

@theyeastindian @aravind @ndtv Nope. Air India isn't even profitable. If they have to make 60% of the seats free, they'll have to increase the base price to keep the total revenue the same. Basic finance. The few free seats you had will get more expensive

@_devalopr @aravind @ndtv No they shouldn't. It's the job of a regulator to check unabaited pricing. The airlines are taking undue advantage because they believe they're too big to be accountable. This is a positive move.
