@CaminoMortera Luckily not every EU member state make it difficult! In Belgium the procedure is the same whether you are a heterosexual couple or lesbian (in case of pregnancy) or gay (in case of adoption).

The irony: in most EU countries, there is a pressumtpion of paternity for married heterosexual couples, even if they are separated and DNA proves otherwise; yet, same sex couples with have children together have to go through the process of adopting said children. 🤷‍♀️

This is super important. So proud of Spain being a country which believes a family is also a child with two mums. I have friends in France who have been struggling with getting their children recognised for a long time. And they are married. It's almost 2022, people!

Europe's #LGBT divide. With Italy's late signature, these are the 14 EU countries that signed today's statement condemning Hungary's new law banning 'displaying or promoting" homosexuality to people under 18. Portugal didn't sign because it currently holds the EU presidency.

Very happy to announce the publication of my book "Everything you want to know about Better regulation". There is only one page, as no one really wants to read anything on this topic

C'est assez typiquement le genre de choses dont l'Union européenne ne doit pas s'occuper. Ce n'est même pas une fausse bonne idée. C'est une très mauvaise idée.
António Costa@eucopresident

To fight the Ideology of Hatred, we need to setup as soon as possible a European Institute to train imams in Europe. Online messages glorifying terrorism must be quickly removed. There must be no impunity for terrorists and those praising them on internet.

@MatinaStevis Why would we be surprised of something everyone saw coming. I mean when has Belgium been efficient in something? Country was also note helped by the lack of "fulltime" govt and denigration of one community by the other. Belgians have learned to live with this (unfortunately)

I try to read the local press daily, but I don't watch TV, and I'm finding it hard to pin down if there's a social consensus on what's happened here to cause such a terrible situation, especially considering we pay crazy high taxes & the state has ample resources.

Belgian friends: I am having a hard time understanding if there's consensus that the authorities have badly mishandled Covid. Are people not wondering how we got here? We got 1 of the world's worst 1st waves, now 1 of the world's worst 2nd waves. Who do Belgians blame?
