When Laravel 13 is out, I'll reshoot most courses on Laravel Daily.
But maybe time to rethink how courses even LOOK.
In 2026, devs will ask AI instead of watching 1-hour (or, even worse, longer) course.
So should courses be almost like a set of YouTube shorts?
Still not sure.

Anyone else finding Octane (+FrankenPHP) config setup ridiculously confusing? The documentation is pretty much useless IMO... (or just a skill issue)

This is absolutely true.
If the US offered passports to any natural-born Canadian citizen, there would be an indecent amount of interest. Particularly amongst the young.
Sweeten the deal with 1:1 conversion of CAD denominated assets into USD, and there would be a rush for the exits.

Btw, just so everyone clear. America could cripple Canada and force it into submission without even firing a shot and it starts with a passport exchange. Do not underestimate how quickly 20% of the country will opt out if given the chance. Decimating the Canadian economy.

Kan iemand die technischer begaafd is dan ik uitleggen waarom @odidonederland het nodig heeft dat de WiFi van hun modem aanstaat om te kunnen uitlezen hoe slecht de verbinding aan hun kant is?

Inmiddels heb ik de Wifi aangezet hoor, geen probleem alleen maken we daar zelf geen gebruik van. Dus ben benieuwd naar de meting.

I'm carving out my path as a dedicated PHP backend dev, focused on Laravel.
But the majority of job postings seem to favour full-stack profiles.
I’ve always believed it’s better to master one craft than be mediocre at many.

@a_libori_roch What a weird responses… there are loads of companies who have separate roles for each so focusing on one is a good choice. But it’s always handy to know the basics of Frontend to communicate faster. Just keep looking!
