If Essendon even considers James Hird to be their coach again after all this time, it would underscore what a backward dysfunctional organisation it is and its sheer inability to let go of the past. Hird hasn’t coached for 11 years and he didn’t even demonstrate that he had what it took to become a super coach in his time in the job! The Bombers need to stop the obsession with past greats or they will continue to go nowhere. The club has to embrace the future and bring in the best guy for the job who has recently been involved at club land for a lengthy period of time

@AjBara27020 @SC_CrazyFrogs If DCam can get closer to his 2nd half of 2025 where he went at 114 post bye it’s not too bad considering he comes at a 200-260k discount to the top of the line guys. Whereas Wilkie’s is 120-150k. Just a pity we can’t have all the rucks 😆

Backed up by the first halves against Brisbane, Freo & Richmond. It had to be done. It’s now full reset & rebuild. Relief!

Some will say who would want to coach Essendon. For me i think the job would peak a lot of interest due to 3 strong draft years and a big haul coming up in 2026 with maybe pick 1 inc. Bewick following year. Much of your side will be built by 2027 with decent cap space post that

There's now 16 defenders with a higher season average than Dan Houston. Only a fortnight ago he was averaging over 100 but now the narrative is no tons in 3 matches. The 43 last week was brutal. The question now go as follows: 1. What would he have to do over the next fortnight to NOT trade him at his bye? 2. Is that achievable? Has he just had an unfortunate fortnight? I am starting to draw links to how I treated Rachele a fortnight ago. If he's definitely going at his bye and isn't a season keeper, then the time to boot is now because he's dropping sharply in cash. You lose $70k if he scores back to back 80s, scores to me that wouldn't be enough to hold onto him. #AFLFantasy

@ballboysfantasy For sure! Just wondering how bad the scarring is. Along with role and body issues. I just don’t think his head is in it. To the eye, he’s not the player from late 2024 & early 2025. I think he’ll request a change of scenery and will probably be a bargain in 2027!
