UPDATE Fire declared under control. Fire crews continue to overhaul the attic ensuring all hot spots have been extinguished.

AFD onscene of a kitchen fire that extended to the attic of a house at 3112 Lynridge Drive. All occupants got out safely. Main body of fire has been knocked down with crews still extinguishing hot spots in the attic. Avoid the area #ATXtraffic.

UPDATE Resident reported their dog was still inside the home. After an extensive search crews located the dog, rescuing it from the smoky conditions and administered oxygen. Pet was transferred to #ATCEMS for additional care.

A small fire at 1600 Wickersham Lane has been extinguished by a residential sprinkler. The cause was food on the stove and @austinfiredept is assisting with smoke removal. No injuries noted and the alarm is being downgraded. No further updates.

A struggling swimmer from an overturned boat has need rescued by @austinfiredept rescue swimmer from Station 6 on Lady Bird Lake. Will turn person over to @ATCEMS for medical evaluation. The alarm is being downgraded. No further reports.

FINAL Fire is extinguished. 2 adults and 1 pediatric were transported by ATEMS. 3 pediatric victims were found deceased in the apartment. Fire was contained to one apartment. Approximately 30 apartment units are displaced. Fire Investigators are onscene. No further updates.

AFD onscene at an apartment fire at 2507 Burleson Rd. On initial search of apartment crews found 2 deceased persons. Additional 2 adults and 1 pediatric patient have been transported by ATEMS. Fire is under control. #ATXTraffic avoid the area.
