@AustinKGraff @capitalweather My daughter lives in Boston and the first thing all her neighbors do after a snow (18" last week) is get out there and shovel their sidewalks - themselves, if they can, or hire it to kids. DC likes to sit and complain.

Scenes from the tundra that is Washington, D.C. this week. Unplowed roads, obstructed sidewalks, two way streets now one way, the snow that turned to ice uprooted everyday life. For as inconvenient it is that snow shuts down the city, it does add beauty to Washington, D.C.

Updates for Friday, January 30: • DCPS will be open with a two-hour delay •⁠ DC Gov will open at 10AM • All @wmata bus and rail routes operating • In addition to RFK, trucks will haul snowcrete to UMC

Across the street from the Russian Embassy in D.C. is a former FBI Spy House. Today, the house is on the market and most of the block displays sign of Ukrainian support.
