@MarybobMcd Reports say the ship’s whistle is sounding very very frequently.

The 335m long KYOTO EXPRESS passes under the @hfxharbourbridges with clearance of 1.52m. To allow this to happen, it requires precise information provided to the Pilot from the Captain, as well as clearance with the @portofhalifax using an Air Gap Measurement System.#marinepilot

@finance_LL @dieselduckster The Alanis is a deep sea, foreign flagged vessel. Not Canadian whatsoever
English

The Alanis? Canada has a vessel called *The Alanis*?

@justokay34 @Manson42097964 @CPercySearle @HowesNathan @OttawaNewsToday @Welland @WellandTribune Equinox is a nice ship, had a season and a bit on her with Schultz. Superb captain

@auzzya @Manson42097964 @CPercySearle @HowesNathan @OttawaNewsToday @Welland @WellandTribune Wouldn’t have happened on my Algoma Equinox vessel. We both know how well these are put together 😂
English

This is crazy. This just happened less than 2 hours ago. Two cargo ships collided in the #WellandCanal. @Welland @WellandTribune. Video courtesy of Jeremy Barton.

@Manson42097964 @justokay34 @CPercySearle @HowesNathan @OttawaNewsToday @Welland @WellandTribune Without a TSB report, hard to say just what happened. Best to leave assumptions where they belong..

@justokay34 @CPercySearle @HowesNathan @OttawaNewsToday @Welland @WellandTribune And yet here we are.

@SamHuge1 @robshaw_vansun @VaughnPalmer @BCFerries Not everyone who's currently on the island lives there. I work for the coast guard, my ship is based out of Victoria and I live in the Sea to Sky corridor. At least one ferry each way from DepBay to Horseshoe would have been nice but I'll make do
English

@robshaw_vansun @VaughnPalmer @BCFerries Why do you need to leave the Island, are there no hospitals, food stores or gas stations there? Get real, stay home!
English

Part of me is: Okay, @BCFerries cutting service and stopping Nanaimo-Horseshoe Bay run saves $, makes sense.
Another part of me is: Good christ we live on an island w/ no way off except BC Ferries and it should be running routes empty just for our peace of mind.

This is happening: The captain of a nuclear aircraft carrier with more than 100 sailors infected with #COVID19 is pleading for help with a situation he describes as quickly deteriorating.

Losing track of all the @Transport_gc initiatives for #seafarers in the face of #COVID19? I've tried to aggregate the info that might impact #shipping and you.

@COSBCTweets @dieselduckster @Transport_gc That was my first thought when the PM announced the border closures except for airline crews.....
English

While Canada's border restrictions permit crew changes for airlines, policy for international seafarers is unclear. Clarification from CBSA and @Transport_gc is urgently required to support Canada's international #trade and the welfare of seafarers. #covid19Canada

Actually, soaps do help. The virus is a self-assembled nanoparticle and the weakest link is the lipid bilayer. When you wash your hands with soap it dissolves the fatty membrane and the virus falls apart thus becoming “inactive”. Please wash your hands.
RODNEiii@MyLifeAsRodney
Fun fact: antiBACTERIAL soaps that kill 99.9% of bacteria, do nothing against VIRUSES. And corona is in fact a vIRUS.
