We are in a season of discernment. Since Charlie’s death, the noise has exploded. New personalities. New platforms. New “gospels”. Everyone wants your attention. Very few deserve your trust. Test every voice. Open your Bible. Plant yourself in a strong local church. Fellowship with the Lord daily.

Feeding Our Future indictment was years ago, under Biden. As I reported 2 weeks ago, one of the FOF defendants is billing the Trump administration’s Medicaid *to this day* for a home health care scam while he is awaiting trial for the meals scam. dailywire.com/news/minnesota…

MINNESOTA FRAUD: @NickShirleyyy’s work has helped show Americans the scale of fraud in Tim Walz’s Minnesota. @TheJusticeDept has been investigating this for months. So far, we have charged 98 individuals – 85 of Somali descent – and more than 60 have been found guilty in court. We have more prosecutions coming…BUCKLE UP, LAWMAKERS!

Dear @realDonaldTrump, You missed a crucial opportunity to speak to one of the most painful and pervasive realities in American life: the silent suffering of millions of families who love someone battling mental illness and addiction. For these families, every ringing phone triggers fear. Is it law enforcement? An emergency room? The coroner? This is the daily emotional landscape they live in—marked by vigilance, love, and terror. Mr. President, you have been by far the most active president in addressing the drug abuse crisis. For that, credit is due. But in this moment, you fell short. The murder of Michele and Rob Reiner struck a deep chord across our nation because it reflects a devastating truth too many families know all too well. Leadership matters most in moments of pain. This was a moment to name the crisis, to stand with families living on the edge of heartbreak, and to remind the nation that mental illness and addiction require compassion, treatment, and sustained action—not silence. Certainly not stigma. Mr. President, please use your platform now to acknowledge these families, strengthen access to mental health and addiction care, and lead with empathy and urgency. Millions are listening. Lives depend on it.

An extra chromosome shouldn’t be a death sentence. Approximately 67–85% of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted in the United States. Every child is a blessing and deserving of love and protection, regardless of their abilities. Discrimination against children with an extra chromosome must end.

The love you have to show in marriage over the years is not cheap. The love you have to show in marriage is COSTLY. It is love that calls for much sacrifice and much death to self. It is love so costly, in fact, that you often wonder if it's too costly and too expensive to give. But it is not. This is what marriage requires: complete and total giving of the self modeled after Christ in the gospel of grace (Ephesians 5:22-33). Men fill this role in their marriage, yes, but both spouses are called to have the mind of Christ and thus put on the humility of Christ in all seasons (Philippians 2:5-8). This mindset is what is missing from so many modern depictions of marriage. If you are supposed to find the One Perfect Soulmate Who Is Your Immediate Best Friend, then you will struggle greatly when they disappoint you. When they hurt you. When they show themselves to have patterns of sin, some of them deeply engrained. When they fail to hear you, listen to you, and treat you the way you desire and expect. I am not excusing terrible behavior here. There is a reason every marriage should be accountable to the church body (in a general sense) and church leadership. (And the state beyond this, if things get truly awful.) So I'm not discussing here atomic sin patterns. I'm talking here about a marriage anchored in genuine love between both husband and wife, but one that contains all the normal struggles involved when two people battling sin for a lifetime join their lives together. Many couples--including younger couples today eager to practice "Trad Marriage"--miss out on the fact that marriage is not instantaneous completion but rather lifelong union that deepens, matures, thickens, and strengthens with time. In fact, much of the best part of marriage comes only after you have weathered much, confessed much, forgiven much, and endured much. A truly healthy marriage often functions in the *opposite* way of the common modern marriage mindset, in other words. In the modern mindset, you find your dream spouse--your One Perfect Soulmate--and they match up with you perfectly, and you live happily ever after. Sin isn't anywhere to be found in the equation. But in real life conducted in a fallen world, marriage is hard work and takes a ton of effort, investment, and spiritual help. Sin stinks, but God actually wants the two of you to work through sin, fight sin together, look to God together, pray together, and grow together. God didn't make marriage so it would be finished in a week or a month, with no further cultivation necessary. God made marriage (in normal terms) for five decades, six decades, seven decades--for most of a lifetime. This means that marriage is not a Hot-Pocket Experience. It isn't done in a month, with no further work left to do. Marriage is by divine design a lifelong endeavor, a covenantal partnership, an all-consuming project, and it takes all the grace that God so generously gives to see it blossom and come to fruition. Whether you've been married 40 weeks or 40 years, don't give up on your marriage if it's not perfect. Don't fall prey to the modern marriage lies. Every marriage needs real work. If this is true of you and your spouse, you're not alone. Though many people pretend their marriage is flawless, in reality all of our marriages need much sanctifying growth. Again, this is how God designed things to be. He doesn't want us to get married and then pretend sin doesn't exist. He wants those who are called to marriage to ring up and then fight sin together, always keeping our eyes locked on the far greater reality of the love and grace and mercy shown us every single day in Christ. Does your marriage need work? Yes? Well, friend, there's no shame in that. Here's my humble encouragement: keep going. Keep praying. Keep trusting God. Keep working on your sins and sin patterns. Keep repenting. Keep forgiving. Keep committing to sacrificial love, costly love, expensive love, one day at a time. Just like Christ, your gracious head, has committed to you.
Owen Strachan@ostrachan

It's not "marry your best friend, the one true soulmate who alone fits you perfectly, has zero flaws, and only makes you smile." It's "make the one you marry your best friend, and never stop pursuing their good, their joy, their growth in God, and their heart."
