@awfulannouncing Greenberg is a reason real sports fans stopped watching ESPN. He’s a dummy and backstabbed Golic. He’s soulless and devoid of any real talent
English

@YahooSchwab What version of himself was he giving for the last six years? Knowingly too
English

The last part, "out of respect for my family I won't comment or answer questions" ... yeah, that's the reason. Gotcha.

Mike Vrabel arrives and delivers an opening statement: My actions didn’t meet my standard … my family needs me this weekend.
English

@AdamSchefter Bro didn’t prioritize his family over all the years this went on- crazy to suggest this only when caught on camera

Patriots’ statement on Mike Vrabel:
“The New England Patriots fully support Mike Vrabel’s decision to prioritize his family first, as well as his own well-being. Mike has been open with us about his commitment to being the best version of himself for his family, this team and our fans, and we respect the steps he is taking to follow through on that commitment.
“We are confident in the leadership and communication Mike has established with our personnel staff throughout this pre-draft process. While he will not be present at the facility on Saturday, we know the draft evaluations are complete and Eliot Wolf and his personnel staff are prepared to execute our draft as planned this weekend.”

@MySportsUpdate @kstone06 Can we talk about how the crisis management team @DMRussini called kinda needs their own crisis management team? They actually coordinated the pathetic denials
English

#Patriots HC Mike Vrabel said he’s had difficult conversations with family and those close to him, and wanted to speak with players first before addressing the media — which is why he waited until today.

@BriskerSZN @AdamSchefter @AP I don’t understand the frustration. It’s relevant information about a relevant person.

Being consistently funny as a sports writer is so tough, most should not try. A select few were great at it.
At its peak, the @latimes had at least three.
Including @scottostler, who I do not know, but felt like I knew growing up in 80s. Used to go to Tower Books where they had out of town newspapers & couldn’t get enough.
Well done!

Ray Ratto@RattoIndy
I would congratulate Scott Ostler for his absurdly great career, but I actually expect him go have his ass back at work tomorrow. Either that, or I sit outside his front door waiting for him to read his stuff to me. The choice is yours, Skeezix. You on my porch or me on yours.

@DMRussini Still posting this after his interviews yesterday is crazy

@peter_king @ggabefootball I spent many Mondays over the years reading your MMQBs. It gave me joy in anticipation of the read, fulfillment while I read it, and joy now thinking back on that time in my life. I wonder if you can grasp the ripple effect you’ve had in the world. Thank you!

Hi everyone. I wrote a book. It’s about my 40 years covering the game and the concurrent growth of the game. Loved re-reporting some of my favorite stories, one per year, over 4 decades. Out in October. Preorder here: wwnorton.com/books/the-game

@dabearsblog Where would you put Rectify? Or either Vince Gilligan shows?

@billybinion @deaflibertarian Brian Hoyer posted one for his brother despite earning around $35-40 million in his career

@deaflibertarian I’ve seen a few in the last week, which has been my first exposure to it!

I’m asking this in good faith: Why is this becoming a thing? Eric Dane’s death is awful & I was really sad to see it. His net worth was widely estimated at several million dollars. I don’t understand why his family needs a GoFundMe.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this.
On February 13th, my little brother lost his wife Carissa suddenly and unexpectedly. She leaves behind him and their four little girls, Josie, Lainey, Ellie, and Hattie. In an instant, he became a widowed father to four daughters under 12.
If you can find it in your heart to help us help him and his girls through this unimaginable season, we would be forever grateful.
We can’t take away their pain, but together we can help carry the weight.
Your support can help ease their burden during this painful time. Please consider donating or sharing to show you care. Every bit helps. gofund.me/69662ec7d

@DanteKopFlem Stop it- Young to Rice in 1993-1994, only Rice had 1499 in 1994. You’re taking that achievement off the table for a single yard — and they did it in 16 games per season. Do yards per game at least
