A girl moved to Bangalore for work and rented a 3 BHK flat with two friends. The three of them paid a total security deposit of ₹2.10 lakh, which meant her share was ₹70,000. After living there for a few months, the landlord informed them that he wanted to sell the flat and asked them to vacate. They moved out on time, expecting to get their full security deposit back. But when the refund arrived, the girl received only ₹18,000. Around ₹52,000 had been deducted from her ₹70,000 deposit. When she asked the landlord for the reason, he said the money was deducted for painting, repairs, and one month's rent because the flat would remain vacant until a new tenant was found. The girl disagreed. She said that if finding a new tenant was the issue, she could have arranged one herself. She believed it wasn't her responsibility to bear the loss after moving out. The landlord also deducted money for items that were already damaged before she shifted into the flat. She had informed him about those issues when she moved in, and at that time he had told her not to worry. Now, those same old damages were being used to cut her deposit. When she continued asking for her money, the landlord blocked her on WhatsApp. Left with no other option, the girl decided to send a legal notice. If she doesn't receive a reply within 15 days, she plans to take the matter to court. This incident is a reminder that while renting a house, your security deposit can be just as important as your monthly rent. Always take photos and videos before moving in, keep records of existing damages, and make sure all deposit terms are clearly mentioned in the rental agreement. If ₹52,000 out of your ₹70,000 security deposit was deducted without a valid reason, what would you do?

I don’t drive; I hardly knew about different types of petrol before all this #E20Petrol controversy started Recently, I went to petrol pump & they had this Indian Oil XP 100 that has ZERO ethanol Yes, it’s premium priced ~ 160 ₹ per litre Whereas normal petrol (E20) is priced at 110 ₹ per litre Not just Indian Oil, even HP, BP, all have XP 100 - yes, the brands may differ, but they all have XP 100 that has ZERO ethanol Moreover, we recently traveled during heavy monsoons in Maharashtra to Konkan & got a mileage of 17 kmpl on my Wagon R ( I have an Ertiga too & haven’t noticed drop in mileage) Now, I don’t normally look at these things but because of it this controversy, I checked Now if you don’t believe the govt of India, if you don’t believe that car makers , if you think E20 will ruin even your brand new cars & give you horrible mileage, then please buy XP100 The fact that govt is NOT giving CHOICE is 100 % FAKE & if a person like me who has ZERO interest in cars & mileage comes to know of this, didn’t people who own & drive cars realise this? It will be a crime to say judges work only 196 days. It's a pity that Even the educated ones of this country doesn't know how judiciary works. A High court Judge in Kerala gets around 100 to 150 cases listed in a day. He starts around 9am in morning in his chamber, reads cases which are listed, starts his open court at 10.15am and sits and listens patiently for 3hrs till 1.15pm. by then around 60 cases would have been heard. He goes to his chamber take his lunch and returns back within 45mins. Then he again sits till 4.30pm to finish his list for the day. Then he returns to chamber, dictate orders for all the 150 cases heard today, his team has to verify and approve and then he has to sign the order and he reaches his home by 10.30 pm. This is a daily routine for almost all the judges. What common people see in open court is just a fraction of time being spent by the judge in his work. Don't be an ignorant thankless creature.

Police work 365 days. Soldiers work 365 days. Employees work 300+ days. Doctors work 365 days. Firefighters work 300+ days. Farmers work 365 days. But judges work only 196 days a year. We have 5.38 crore cases pending. Judges receive a ₹2.8 lakh salary and ₹45K allowance per month.
