last 48 hours were absolutely MAD 🤯 internet went wild over a weekend hack i built out of frustration. didn't expect it to blow up to 5m+ - blr city police reached out, planning to meet sometime this week - flooded with dms from founders and other state police officials - some DAMN big names in industry shared it - unexpected early inbound interest for investment - got interviewed by 4 top national tv news channels - multiple newspapers picked it up and gave it solid space - big digital media pages, radio stations, instagram accounts, and youtube channels shared - thousands of people dmed saying this inspired them to build something of their own my mom is gonna see me on tv for the first time, feels so good 😭 i'm actively working on the roadmap now since there’s real interest. the current setup is very hacky and early stage. will keep sharing updates here genuinely overwhelmed by the love and support. if i’ve missed your message, i’ll get back once things settle a little 🙏

Many of us stopped using Wazirx after no withdrawals from past 2 years but Nischal found another way of doing chindi chori: Wazirx 0 a new program that everyone gets auto subscribed to for INR 99 per month... I had 1200inr in my wallet and they took 100inr without consent. This feature is auto opted in and a way for Nischal and chaalis chorr to skim 100 rupees from your wallet even if you gave up any hope and left the fund. Legal chori 👇🤡

A lot of hopeful early-stage founders dismiss this very important insight about customer psychology, particularly when it comes to enterprise and previously "in-house" focused buyers. You really, really have to offer much more than what they could possibly build in-house. Your moat is not just time and money; your moat has to be something that they could not replicate even if they wanted to. And it has always been like this with a lot of people. But the capacity to get 80% there for almost anything people want to build will make this much more of a visible problem compared to years past.

Think databases are boring? Indexing → data structures + algorithms AI → RAG + learned indexes MVCC → concurrent programming Sharding → distributed systems Query parsing → formal languages Query planning → stats + optimization Replication → distributed systems Authentication → security WAL → fault tolerance Storage → file systems + caching Compression → information theory Deadlock detection → graph theory Databases encompass tons of interesting software engineering problems.

💯 .. the *core* database engine itself is a masterpiece of computer science wizardry. But then you zoom out one level and the surrounding ecosystem is *just as wild*: - DataFusion / Arrow: turning query execution into embarrassingly parallel, zero-copy, SIMD-vectorized madness - Hudi, Delta, Iceberg: inventing time-travel, ACID, and schema evolution on top of immutable cloud storage that was never designed for any of this. Incremental processing, copy-on-write vs MOR, automatic compaction, Z-ordering - Parquet + predicate pushdown + dictionary encoding + RLE + all the file-format tricks that squeeze 10x better analytics performance out of the same hardware Indeed a wonderful time to be part of the database ecosystem ..

@BenjDicken databases are the ultimate rabbit hole. you think you're just storing data, then suddenly you're reading papers on distributed consensus.

Productivity boost when a deadline approaching is real. A site for which I have taken subscription last year was about to expire on 30 Nov. In the last 20 days I’ve covered so much that I couldn’t have get done in 2 months.

Quick question : You have 50 microservices, each with its own API. The frontend team is losing their mind. To render a single page, they make 10+ network calls. The app is sluggish. Users are complaining. How do you fix this ?
