Though this also comes at the expense of other players, correct? As these players would take the roster spots, earnings, opportunities, etc. So then you would be doing a disservice to them as well. Which would be unfair to them as well… Though the guys who have had the ability to be compensated for years already and also may have an opportunity to play professionally elsewhere need the fairness instead? Nothing is fair. And this doesn’t just work in one direction.

And so begins a lawsuit, and so ends the idea they won’t actually end up letting last season’s seniors play next season.

The rationale is that things change and that’s literally just how the world works. If the minimum wage changes does everyone who was getting paid less when they were on minimum wage get back pay? I mean rules, laws, regulations are constantly happening and changing. He was in an era that was able to be compensated but I’m sure he was fine with that when players just ahead of him were not, because shit happens, life happens, and it’s just never going to be something that’s completely fair for everyone.

We cannot please everyone. He was fortunate to play in an era where college athletes got compensated and compensated well, something thousands upon thousands of other players (and much better ones) did not. It’s almost like life isn’t always completely fair and sometimes ya win some and sometimes ya lose some. Better to come to that realization now instead of thinking everyone is always out to get you
