@CFBKings Amendments to the punishment don’t absolve the flakiness of the rule.

The NCAA has made slight changes to the punishment for targeting. This fall, a player disqualified for targeting for the FIRST time during the season, regardless of which half of the game it occurs, may participate in the next game. Any player disqualified for targeting a SECOND time during the season will be required to miss the first half of the next game. If a player is disqualified for a THIRD targeting penalty during the season, the player will be required to miss the entire next game (no players were disqualified for targeting three times in the 2025 season).

@awcodes1 The good thing about it is you can upgrade right away, and the package author can merge your PR or not. For me I'd actually appreciate it, assuming I don't get like 50 different upgrade PRs. Waiting is also fine, but just a good reminder for anyone who does want to upgrade now.

Unfortunately neither the laravel ai upgrade skill nor shift work if your app depends on a package that doesn’t support laravel 13 yet. Oh well.

@ryanwebdev For sure, I’m just not the guy trying to force any package to support before they are ready. Also not a slight on laravel or shift.

@awcodes1 You can always fork it, make it compatible, open a PR, and pin your composer.json to your fork until the PR is merged if you REALLY want to upgrade now. And AI should be able to do all that for you, maybe next year's upgrade skill will include that.
