@benebular @TorytheLinguist Lots of Arabic adjectives can be used as verbs like this, including colors! But you see it a lot in literature with feelings - “she became angry” would just be 1 past tense verb for example

Calling all linguists! What spoken languages have verbs that essentially are like 'to-be-adjective', to-be-red/blue? I read this in a paper a long time ago, but can't remember which article. Faintly remember that it was an indigenous North American or African spoken language?
