Get over yourself. Every previous "programming is obsolete" panic has been a bust, and this one's going to be too. The fundamental problem of mismatch between the intentions in human minds and the specifications that a computer can interpret hasn't gone away just because now you can do a lot of your programming in natural language to an LLM. Systems are still complicated. This shit is still difficult. The need for people who specialize in bridging that gap isn't going to go away. As usual, the answer is: upskill yourself and adapt. If a crusty old fart like me can do it, you can too.

A man shows up to interrupt an ICE operation armed with a gun and two ammo clips and gets into a confrontation with ICE agents, resists arrest. Why is the presumption that the ICE agents are in the wrong?

@amyklobuchar He literally was impeding on federal law enforcement and had a gun with two additional loaded clips. Resisting arrest while reaching for his waist under these circumstances leads to bad outcomes. Maybe consider telling your voters to stop impeding on law enforcement?

50,000 Minnesotans turned out to peacefully protest ICE’s actions in 10 below weather and there were no problems. The next day a whole team of federal agents couldn’t handle one citizen with a cell phone. They shot him.  ICE needs to leave.

This is why he was knocked down by federal agents. He inserted himself in the situation. He went over to the federal agent, put his hands on him, and gave him an order to stop. He even yelled, "Don't you fucking touch her!" as he put his hands on the officer. Since when is it lawful to go up to an officer and put your hands on the officer and give him commands? Never! No. He didn't get knocked down by federal agents for just videotaping or being an "observer". I know that those who oppose ICE, deportations, Border Patrol, etc want to make it seem like this guy was just helping a woman up from the floor and then just got knocked down to the floor for no reason. But, it's not how it happened. Had that man just moved himself away from the entire situation when he realized it was escalating, he would be alive today. The officers were there to the their jobs and follow a lawful order given by a judge to arrest an illegal alien who has committed multiple crimes.

At some point in time prior to the first shot being fired all of the following facts were true: 1. Pretti engaged in obstructive behavior. 2. Pretti committed a felony assault against a federal officer while armed. 3. Pretti resisted arrest while armed. 4. The fact that Pretti had a gun was revealed to all Officers there. So a person for whom there was PC he had committed a violent felony, was resisting arrest, and was armed with a firearm were among the totality of circumstances known to the Officer at the time he used deadly force. Use of deadly force policy does not require the Officers to wait until they are attacked.
