While Kerala is busy celebrating the election results, one question is worth asking. How many more years will we continue to complain about the same potholes, garbage piles, and broken streetlights without any real accountability? We all have seen people sharing videos of broken roads and potholes. Journalists and Media houses are doing special presentations on TV, yet nothing changes. The complaints stay loud for a few days and disappear. Muhammed Roshan P S just changed that. He built ParathiPetty (പരാതിപ്പെട്ടി), a live online public complaint box that runs entirely on WhatsApp. You spot a civic problem, such as a pothole, a garbage pile, a broken streetlight, or a waterlogged road. You click a photo and send the location. ParathiPetty classifies the issue and pins it on a public map, and shows live district-wise civic issue trends on a leaderboard. No app. No signup. Phone numbers hidden. Only verified reports go public. He has turned individual complaints into a permanent, public, searchable civic map, giving ordinary people the power to raise issues in a way that local politicians and officials cannot overlook. My biggest takeaway? ->This isn’t just another complaint tool. ->This is accountability infrastructure. This is the kind of grounded, practical innovation we celebrate at Kerala Product Hunt. Huge respect to Roshan for not just talking about problems, but building a system that forces them to be addressed. Try it here: parathipetty.com Would love to hear your thoughts below on how tools like ParathiPetty can help drive meaningful accountability in our communities.

@bhaumikgowande It is not meant to be a playground but a place of rest/hault. Many labour, daily workers and drivers will find this place to be useful. Appreciate the effort by a private body while it's the responsibility of the GOV.

Will you send your children to play while traffic continuous flow from both sides with trucks, cars and tempos emitting smoke that your children would directly? Anand Mahindra tweeted appreciating this doesn’t mean cuties should do this. Mandate Zero tailpipe cars sales from tomorrow and then this may makes sense.

@swapnakpanda Because Indian managers are filled with hate toward each others. They themselves are facing mid life crisis so they want their employee to also face the heat

An Indian employee asked his US manager to be OOO daily for 3 hours to take care of his 7-months old baby. Look at his manager's reply. Why it's impossible in Indian workplaces?

wake up, brush with fake sensodyne, have bad poha for breakfast, travel to work inhaling high aqi air by private vehicles using costly fuel, eat fake paneer for lunch, drink sewage water, back home avoiding potholes, rash drivers and falling objects, watch photoshoots on news, sleep, pay taxes.

8.2 LAKH CRORE. Yes, read that again. ₹8.2 LAKH CRORE to be borrowed when crude oil has barely touched $100. Now remember The same people who are struggling today were mocking Manmohan Singh back then, when he was navigating far worse conditions with Crude at $120 - $140. And yet, he held the economy steady without any noise, chest thumping or PR spectacle He navigated the 2008 global crisis. He handled the oil super cycle. He managed the taper tantrum. And most importantly, he did it without making ordinary Indians feel the shock. Because his focus was simple. Stability. Clarity. Foresight. He governed to protect people, not to perform for headlines. Fast forward to today. Lower crude prices. More resources. More control. And still, RECORD BORROWING. Visible stress. No clear direction. The same people who mocked him are now struggling to manage far easier conditions. That is the difference. One governed with depth & responsibility. The other survives on optics. History has a way of correcting narratives. And when it does, it will remember this clearly. History will indeed be kinder to Dr Manmohan Singh 🙏
