This animal, the registered nutritionist explains, should have a plate that is half vegetables, a quarter whole grains, and a small triangle of protein. Why? Because. The same logic that feeds a lion meat and a giraffe leaves stops dead at the door of the human enclosure. A different rule applies to us, apparently. A rule written by people who have never observed our anatomy and have never seen what we actually evolved to eat. The other animals get the truth about what their bodies need. The human gets the food pyramid, a glossy leaflet, and a polite suggestion to maybe cut back on red meat. Strange, isn't it.

Years ago when Obama was running for his first term, my neighbors kept talking about how great Obama was. I never said a word to them about being conservative because back then I was more centrist. At the time I was a 1099 consultant so I paid for my own health insurance. It was about $650 for a family of three and we had a fairly low deductible. After Obama won and the ACA passed, I lost my health insurance and was told by BCBS that I had to go through the government website to apply. My insurance went from an affordable $650 a month to $2400 a month with a $10k deductible per family member. When I said this to my neighbor, they called me a liar. I asked them where they got their news and they said they watched Jon Stewart. I laughed so hard and they never spoke to me again. I’m glad they finally moved. I just wanted to say this: these are the people we are arguing with online. Completely uninformed buffoons. If you get your information from a late night comedian talk show host, we are not on the same level. Good riddance, Colbert.

These wealthy white liberals always talk ABOUT Black people. Rarely TO Black people. And almost never LIVE around the consequences of the policies they push. They promote policies from gated communities while ordinary Americans deal with the aftermath. Then they call everyone else racist. Goldman’s rant is not about morality. It is bitterness that the American people rejected the political machine he represents. The irony is thick: A trust fund politician accusing a billionaire who donated his presidential salary of “lining his pockets.” A man whose fame came entirely from trying to politically destroy Trump now pretending Trump is obsessed with revenge. Western Civilization didn't flourish because "white males" stopped other groups from succeeding. The West thrived because of rational thought, individual rights, and free enterprise. "White males" that invented the steam engine, electric generation, the combustion engine, flight, and space exploration did not do so because they "stole" the ideas of minorities. These inventions helped lift mankind out of ignorance and hardship, improving the quality of life for all of humanity.
