Hamilton was right: he had NO POWER to defend from LEC and RUS! 🪫 LEC reached 317 km/h without slipstream or overtake mode, HAM just 307 (Lap 42) And that's nothing: LEC reached 330 when in HAM's slipstream, but the latter didn't exceed 306 when the roles inverted! (Lap 43, and RUS overtook him) Behind HAM, LEC gained 0.391s on the main straight. Behind LEC, HAM LOST 0.250s (while RUS gained 0.529s) So: -For some reason (bug?) HAM didn't have the ERS power needed to defend ❌ -RUS could overtake HAM more easily than LEC did... even though he was 0.144s further behind on the straight! 🚀 @LewisHamilton @ScuderiaFerrari @Charles_Leclerc #F1

Mercedes, along with COVID, wasted this car's potential. COVID didn’t allow the car to perform and attack tracks like Monaco, Suzuka, Canada, Zandvoort, Singapore, COTA, and Sao Paulo. The car was capable of sweeping at least 15 of 17 races that season. Hamilton contracting COVID before Sakhir and not having fully recovered by Abu Dhabi prevented Mercedes from achieving a clean sweep of all 17 races of the season. Mercedes especially fumbled Monza and the 70th Anniversary GP due to their incompetence. Mercedes, even at its peak, was never on Red Bull’s operational level. For instance, Red Bull in 2023 had every aspect covered, from strategy to execution. I still believe that if it wasn’t for the DAS ban and the floor change Horner lobbied for at the end of 2020, Mercedes could have shown up with the exact same car in 2021 and wiped the floor.

@000_beng @TheRoboteer Rules aren’t there to be broken mate. And I do hold others to this standard. Fangio’s 1956 was subpar, as was Prost’s 93, Clark’s 60-61, MSC’s post 02 run, Lauda in 82-83, etc. You just choose to see me pointing out that LH had more bad moments than those guys as ‘nitpicking’

“i hope my hair is not too bad now *awkward laugh* i put so much effort into that” this is now the third time this week MBS grabbed lando’s hair and every time it’s disrespectful and completely inappropriate. even during the most important night that he got ready for, MBS still manages to be extremely unprofessional. i mean lando’s polite enough to laugh it off but it’s so uncomfortable to watch and it must’ve felt like that for him too.
