I got married at 22 and boomers were the worst. Constantly telling me I better have a separate Bank account and constantly saying things like "well I hope you're not pregnant" which was really painful since we were having a hard time conceiving.

I am 45 and when I look back on my experiences as a young woman I rarely had boomer women, even close mentors, recommend children or family formation. The propaganda was that having a baby too young would ruin young women and prevent them from having a “meaningful career”. There was never any discussion of how meaningful and important a role motherhood is.

Do I think Ted Lasso existed? Yes, of course. I think he was a good guy who inspired a lot of people with his message of love. I just don’t believe some of the more extraordinary claims about what he did with that football team.

@ayedfy @that1bear2 @aynrandsandwich Yeah I’m 22 and some of the things i’ve never heard of include Punchy, Stereosonic, Big Day Out, Soundwave, Agro, Mulligrubs, Cheez TV, INXS, The Ashes, and Driza-Bone. Couldn’t tell you what a single one was.
