In the Holy Book of Islam, Allah says:
"Thou seest not, in the creation of the All-merciful any imperfection, Return thy gaze, seest thou any fissure. Then Return thy gaze, again and again. Thy gaze, Comes back to thee dazzled, aweary."
This in effect is, the faith of all physicists; the deeper we seek, the more is our wonder excited, the more is the dazzlement for our gaze.
-- Abdus Salam, as mentioned in his 1979 Nobel speech

Fascinating read on a household name and a trip down memory lane. We were part of that generation in the 80s when a return to school was synonymous with a trip to Bata!

@FranceskAlbs Dear Francesca, I hope this finds you well. I’m a Staff Writer @AnalystNews_ and we were hoping to publish a Q&A explainer piece on IHL, also addressing the question of Art 51 of the UN Charter. I wondered if you had a few moments to answer a couple of short qs?

Imagine yourself, perhaps as you are now, seated at a restaurant table, enjoying your meal. Suddenly, you remember that your mother, siblings, and other relatives might be without food, possibly starving. They have not showered for days. Or worse, you don't know if they are alive, as bombs could be falling on them indiscriminately. For me, this thought brings panic, stopping the food in my throat. I cease eating and attempt to call them, but there's no connection. Every ten minutes, I rush to check where the bombs have landed and the names of the victims. My heart sinks if I spot a family name resembling mine.
Being born in Gaza, we have endured terror, trauma, dehumanization, and horror at mental, psychological, and physical levels. I propose a new term for the dictionary: 'injusticgazanation.' This word encapsulates the accumulation of past and present horrors inflicted on an individual or a group. It encompasses everything from dehumanization and terror to the perpetration of genocide.
